IMG's digital team provides Consultancy and Agency services to accelerate the digital performance of the biggest names in sport. We create and execute strategy, produce engaging content, improve the use of social media and can help you deliver against your wider business objectives. We build teams and select the best technology partners to improve the way digital is used to engage and inspire fans, build brand profile and generate revenue.
The IMG digital team are looking for a Digital Research Analyst to support IMG's services to clients. As the leading global digital sports agency and consultancy, we need Research Analysts to work on insight reports and campaign plans, supporting our Consulting team in planning and delivering to clients their own data-led digital roadmap.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
• Primarily focused on preparing insightful reports from multiple data sources
• Providing analysis of data from multiple web analytics sources, e.g. Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, YouTube Analytics
• Conducting audience and market research, especially as it relates to digital
• User experience research / testing on behalf of clients
• KPI tracking and building of dashboards
• Resource planning, project management and milestone tracking
• Online and offline marketing (including basic SEO of content) as it relates to helping clients improve
Knowledge and Experience
• Good years of work experience or relevant area of study / work experience
• Demonstrable understanding of web and social media analytics tools and a curiosity for digging into data at a granular level (e.g .Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, YouTube Analytics, Twitter Analytics)
• A love of technology and an aptitude for technical exploration; whilst there is no requirement for any coding knowledge, it always helps to understand how the fundamental infrastructures of the internet, websites, and digital platforms work
• An understanding of how sport and brands commonly utilise the web and social media to grow, engage and monetise their audience
• An interest in sport
Skills and Abilities
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to follow a style-guide when producing PowerPoint documents
• Organised, proactive and able to meet fixed deadlines while managing multiple client demands (a typical month might involve working across 3-5 different clients at one time)
• A commitment to continual professional development of oneself and others
• The ability to effectively communicate and provide quick and accurate feedback
• A customer or client-focused approach
• Strong initiative with a willingness to be flexible in their approach to achieve desired outcomes
• Numerate with good experience of using spreadsheets to understand and manipulate data
• Methodologically disciplined with strong attention to detail and continual ability to question assumptions
• Active user and advocate of social media with a perspective on the social and media impacts of such products as X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, Snapchat etc.
• Desirable: Some experience of content creation and management or knowledge of the process
Working Conditions
• This role will be based at Chiswick Park, with some flexibility on remote working as appropriate
• May be required to attend (and travel to) locations, including other IMG buildings and meetings
• Unsocial hours may be required, as dictated by the demands of the business schedule
• Adapting to use of new systems and technology where appropriate
