The Partnership between SPL, SAFF, and IMG:

The Saudi Pro League (SPL) and Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) have announced a new five-year production partnership with IMG, a global sports, events, and representation company, for the Roshn Saudi League (RSL), King's Cup, and Saudi Super Cup, starting from the 2024-25 season.

The 2024-25 season broadcast of the RSL, King's Cup, and Saudi Super Cup will feature more dynamic storytelling and captivating content that highlights the excitement of the matches and celebrates the rich culture and passion that drive the sport.

IMG will also help SPL and SAFF to implement advanced remote production technologies, allowing leading producers to oversee matches across multiple cities on the same day, ensuring that the highest production standards are maintained regardless of location.

IMG are seeking an Assistant Producer to join our Studios business and lead our new partnership with the Saudi Pro League based in the UK. This role will support the Senior Producer in the delivery of content including a weekly highlights/magazine show, match round features and world feed programmes. This role requires a blend of flexibility, creativity, and industry knowledge.

As a global leader in sports, events, media, and fashion, IMG operates in over 30 countries, and this role is pivotal in leading the transformation of our creative output.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a 10-month fixed term contract based at our facility in Stockley Park, Uxbridge, London.

You will be required to work on all SPL and Cup match rounds. Including weekends and evenings. This may include the festive period, Easter and bank holidays.

You may be required to travel to Saudi Arabia for short periods to assist content production as required.

Key Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To:
• Working closely with the Senior Producer, to assist on the SPL highlights programme, world feed shows, match openers and features, content development, shooting and editing.
• QC/Edit produce & deliver match edits, round up packages & other show inserts to tight deadlines.
• Delivering fast turnaround match highlights
• Comfortable working to tight deadlines
• Overseeing the delivery of incoming match-feeds for use within the production.
• Experience and knowledge of stitch editing
• Planning, organisation and delivery of feature for highlights show – liaising as necessary.
• Planning and distributing edit schedule and executing/adapting as required.
• Responsible for adhering to compliance guidelines for broadcaster/client as appropriate
• You may also be required to carry out any other duties which are within the scope and purpose of the job

You Will Have The Following Strengths:
• Experience as a researcher/Assistant Producer in live sports television production.
• Experience of edit producing fast turnaround match highlights/reports.
• Experience in content creation including match openers and feature content.
• Ability to make editorial decisions without direct supervision

We'd Love If You Also Have These:
• Fluency in Arabic is highly advantageous, but not essential
• Specialist knowledge of SPL
• Experience of dealing with Talent (e.g. presenters, commentators, voice over artists & sports stars)
• Experience of live football production.
• Experience as coordinator in a live gallery environment.
• Experience self-editing on Adobe Premiere/Avid or similar.
• Experience with Adobe After Effects.
• IPD knowledge
