Hearst Magazines is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our finance team based out of Charlotte, NC. The Staff Accountant will play an important role in maintaining existing finance operations across all of the Hearst Magazines brands.

Resonsibilities:

Responsibilities:
• Record over 10 Journal Entries each month
• Code and process over 50 AP invoices each month
• Submit over 50 Balance Sheet reconciliations in ARCS
• Manage Intercompany transactions
• Prepare and submit monthly sales tax reporting
• Prepare and email monthly Bridgestone reporting to Mexico for wire transfer purposes
• Prepare weekly AR reporting for management
• Maintain monthly schedules and prepare Balance Sheet Variance explanations
• Assist in tracking and analyzing contracts for proper revenue recognition for contracts
• Report on unit bank fees each month

Qualifications:

Qualifications:
• BS Degree in Accounting
• 0-2 years of relevant work experience
• Experience with Excel/Smart View
• Experience with debits/credits, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively and build relationships across all levels of management
• Self-starter who is detail-oriented, deliverable focused, and well-organized

This role requires the position to be located in Charlotte, NC with an in-office presence of 3 days a week.

The base salary for this role is between $50,000 to $65,000 annually. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
