Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Social Media & Video Analyst to join our Editorial Data team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for social media, data analysis, and strategic insights. You will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on our on-site video content, and social media traffic and platforms to help optimize our online presence and drive engagement.

Resonsibilities:

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Analyze social media performance metrics to understand audience trends, behavior, and content preferences.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance content effectiveness and ROI.
• Prepare and deliver regular reports on social and video performance, including audience growth, engagement, conversion metrics and content performance.
• Create digestible dashboards and trackers, and clearly present data for the team and stakeholders.
• Use analytics tools to track and report on social media KPIs and on-site video metrics and set up benchmarks.
• Provide insights and recommendations for improving social media content and campaigns.
• Conduct competitive audits and analysis to benchmark our social presence against industry standards and competitors.
• Stay informed about industry trends, platform updates, and competitive landscape developments in social media marketing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide reporting and data-driven recommendations for content strategies.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Data Science, or a related field.
• Proven work experience as a Social Media Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role.
• Knowledge of social media analytics (Facebook Insights, Dash Hudson, ListenFirst, YouTube Analytics, Tubular, Social Content Ratings, etc.).
• Experience conducting analyses to optimize social media content and campaigns, as well as platform best practices, industry trends and audience consumption habits.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
• Ability to interpret large amounts of data and to multi-task.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of online marketing strategies and marketing channels.

Preferred Skills:
• 1-3 years of experience in data analytics at a consumer-facing company; a background in a media-related business is a plus.
• Experience with social media platforms and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Twitter Analytics, Hootsuite, Dash Hudson, etc.).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools.
• Creative thinker with attention to detail.

The base salary for this role is between $64-$75k The base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

This is a position covered under the Writers Guild of America, East, Collective Bargaining Agreement.
