Your Impact:

The Analyst of Advertising Performance Analytics is responsible for assisting in managing the partnerships and analytics tools to help the Hearst Magazines' team understand digital advertising campaign performance.Working within the Campaign Management organization, they are the expert for how we track and measure individual campaign performance. Using this deal-level intelligence, they drive insights around our ad product performance and help create benchmarks to define success.

This role reports to the Manager, Advertising Performance Analytics. This person will use their understanding of data tools, digital advertising and campaign workflow to build and evangelize capabilities across the organization.

Resonsibilities:

What you'll do:
• Support the creation of reporting capabilities to measure advertising campaigns. Develop reports and dashboards to introduce these capabilities to the teams at scale. Keep an eye on the future, understanding trends and new capabilities within the marketplace.
• Aid in the data accuracy, quality and timeliness to ensure end users have confidence in the solution set. Design solutions that meet the needs of a scaled organization, taking into consideration the end users and their goals. Work cross functionally to ensure that capabilities in development meet the requirements of the teams.
• Become an expert in vendors solutions to help Hearst Magazines quantify campaign performance and ad product performance. Assist in the implementation, QA and measurement of those partner solutions, working through smart ways to surface the appropriate data points in the campaign lifecycle.
• Have an understanding of the ''pitch to pay'' life cycle within the Advertising department, inclusive of roles, responsibilities and systems used. This information creates a wealth of data and insight to help manage the data and outcomes required to measure performance.
• Work with the Revenue Operations teams to assess current needs in support of building a roadmap of performance analysis. Design processes to help train and evangelize those new capabilities across the organization.
• Find insights and bring them to life for our teams. Be an asset, finding interesting ways to look at our advertising campaigns and ad products – and share those insights outward with the broader team. Communicate concise data points, trends, and measurement strategies to a broad audience, ranging from Technical to Client-facing.

Qualifications:

Who you are:
• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience, preferably in media and/or digital marketing; Direct practitioner knowledge in Search, Social, Programmatic, or Affiliate is a plus
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions and make recommendations based on forecasted outcomes
• Some knowledge of statistics software, R and/or SAS, and/or database management skill set such as SQL
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel and some knowledge of PowerPoint
• Time management and collaborative team skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to convey technical findings in layman's terms
• Proven ability to surface and present insights to inform media planning and optimization
• Ability to influence in highly collaborative work environments
• Understanding of statistical concepts relevant to optimization, as well as scientific testing in live media environments
• Entrepreneurial drive

The base salary for this role is between $74k – 89K annually. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
