Your impact:
Harper's Bazaar is seeking a fashion news director to lead its multi-platform (print, digital, newsletters, etc.) fashion coverage. This role pitches, assigns/edits or writes stories, from quick dispatches to long-form to new print and/or digital franchises. This position also attends PR events and select fashion shows. The ideal candidate is well regarded in the business, a quick, clean, and nimble writer and editor with a bird's-eye view of the industry and a deep knowledge of its history and players. This role reports to the executive editor.

What you'll do:
• Oversee fashion news and features
• Cover the fashion industry and the red carpet
• Create new franchises for the brand
• Attend select fashion shows and PR events
• Pitch multi-platform story ideas
• Assign/edit or write, and top-edit stories (across brand platforms)
Who you are:
• 8+ years post-grad experience writing and editing fashion content for a consumer editorial outlet
• Strong writing and editing skills
• Ability to work quickly and cleanly in a fast-paced environment
• Proven track record of high performance online for stories
• Extensive contacts in the industry
• Roster of high-caliber writers
• Ability to find new voices
• Bachelor's degree
The base salary for this role is between $93,000 and $124,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
