Job Description
The Hearst Visual Group is looking for an Associate Visual Editor to join the team and work on ELLE and Esquire and will act as both a photo producer and researcher within the Visual Group. This candidate must be an extremely detail-oriented multitasker and have at least two years of experience working in the visual/photo department of a major consumer magazine, website, or similar outlet. Candidate must have experience with photo production, photo research, and be an organized self-starter with a strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Resonsibilities:
• Produce shoots for print and digital.
• PA on-set.
• Photo research for print and digital.
• Support Visual Directors on brands and team needs.
• Collaborate with brand editors to conceptualize creative shoot concepts.
• Work with Visual Directors and Managing Editors to stay on budget for all assignments.
• Input credits and caption information, route image files and manage pages throughout print issue closings.
• Create call sheets, shot lists and mood boards.
• Generate photo contracts, releases, license agreements, permits and certificates of insurance.
• Track and process invoices in a timely manner.

Qualifications:
• At least two years of experience working in the visual/photo department of a major consumer magazine, website, or similar outlet.
• This candidate must exhibit professionalism and have a proven ability to work effectively with others.
• Must be ambitious, proactive, detail oriented and have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

The base salary for this role is $64,000-$65,500. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as: transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

This position is based in the NYC office a minimum of 3 days a week.

This is a position covered under the Writers Guild of America, East, Collective Bargaining Agreement.
