Associate, Global Streaming Content Strategy

Job Description

We are looking for an Associate, based in New York or Los Angeles, who will provide strategic support on developing the content strategy for WBD's streaming services (Max, including HBO, and Discovery+). Reporting to the Director of Global Streaming Content Strategy, this Analyst will work on content strategy workstreams and projects, including providing insights and recommendations to leadership to influence content decision making. These projects include assisting in overall programming investment decisions, enterprise-wide special project initiatives, category or genre-specific initiatives, analyzing content performance and trends, and producing deliverables for senior management. This role requires a high level of collaboration with partners across WBD, and requires supporting relationships across teams and delivering high quality work for the Streaming Organization at Warner Bros Discovery.

Your Role Accountabilities…
• Help develop the frameworks and analyses used for assessing key strategic questions across our content offering
• Develop and implement benchmarking systems and processes to support analyses and recommendations
• Support Content and other DTC teams in understanding current performance on the platform, connecting content insights to business opportunities
• Collaborate with other teams, especially Data & Analytics, Finance, Research, and Business Intelligence, to build the tools and processes necessary to drive strategy and analysis initiatives
• Create executive-ready presentations to summarize key findings, recommendations, and evaluations of strategic opportunities
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of industry trends and landscape activity
• Provide support for both Warner Bros. Discovery and Streaming senior management, including strategy reviews, executive presentations, and other management-level deliverables

Qualifications & Experience…

At least 1-2 years of work experience that includes one or a combination of the following:
• Management Consulting within the Media, Technology, or Telecom practice
• Investment Banking within the Media, Technology, or Telecom practice
• Corporate development or strategy at a media or technology company
• Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with Data Analytics / Visualization tools like Looker and Tableau preferred
• A keen eye for presentation design and the ability to distill complex concepts and analyses into clear, easy-to-understand presentations
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects with several deliverables under tight deadlines
• Passionate about media and entertainment with a voracious appetite for industry news (e.g. on content, streaming services, linear ecosystem, advertising evolution)
• Experience interfacing and presenting to senior executives and management teams
• High level of integrity, strong work ethic, deep intellectual curiosity, and out-of-the-box thinking
• Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative DNA
• Ability to thrive and take initiative in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $62,790.00 - $116,610.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros.
