About the Position

The Golden State Warriors are looking for an upbeat and proactive Coordinator to assist in the planning and execution of special events and programming of Thrive City. The ideal candidate has experience creating unique events, activations and programs designed to assist with brand growth. This position reports to the Director, Special Events.

This is a full-time position based in San Francisco, CA.

Willingness and ability to provide proof of completed COVID-19 vaccination (including booster, if eligible) will be required. All religious, medical, or other legally recognized exemptions regarding vaccination status will be considered.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist with the planning, implementation, production and execution of meetings and special events for GSW and Thrive City programming
• Develop pitch decks for new events and programming concepts to be share with internal and external partners
• Coordinate all logistics related to the planning and execution of events, including: venue procurement, budget management, and onsite logistics (i.e., event staff, site inspections, operation plans, registration and check-in management, permit requests, communications to Warriors executive staff, player appearance requests, security procurement and coordination with clients, vendors and Warriors staff, etc.)
• Maintain and update calendar of all events and vendor database
• Attend industry events on a regular basis as a representative of the organization
• Other administrative duties as assigned

Required Experience & Skills
• Bachelor's degree, ideally in business administration/hospitality, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 2 years experience producing events
• Deep understanding of events planning/operations; a pulse on current trends as well as an ability to keep events relevant and fresh
• A passion for creating exceptional and unique events specific to our brand and marketing goals; familiarity with social media marketing and the digital space
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; high proficiency in Excel (candidates will be tested prior to hire)
• Excellent written and verbal communication, customer service and resolution skills
• Ability to build positive relationships with clients and peers at all levels within the organization, including third-party partners
• Ability to balance multiple projects at once in a fast-paced work environment
• A real passion for professional basketball and live entertainment
• Ability to work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed, including the ability to travel for out of area events or meetings
• Ability to drive a motor vehicle, strongly encouraged

Physical Demands
• Ability to lift and carry at least 40 lbs.
