Frieze is the world's leading platform for modern and contemporary art, dedicated to artists, galleries, collectors and art lovers alike. What You'll Do:
To assist and support on the planning and execution of all Communications activities.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
We are seeking a highly organized and efficient Communications Coordinator with exceptional communication skills and a passion for creativity. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel in multitasking, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and social media platforms is essential.
• Team Support: Ensure the smooth operation of the communications team by supporting daily activities and processes.
• Calendar Management: Maintain accurate calendars for editorial schedules, press conferences, events, and media lists.
• Planning: Engage in brainstorming and planning sessions to contribute to strategic communications initiatives.
• Research: Conduct research to support PR planning and campaign development.
• Influencer Outreach: Manage outreach to influencers and coordinate related events.
• Coordination: Liaise with internal teams to gather and coordinate communications information and assets.
• Content Creation: Draft and distribute content such as briefing notes and press releases.
• Stakeholder Relations: Support relationships with stakeholders, media, vendors, and other relevant parties.
• Media Tracking: Assist in tracking media coverage and PR metrics.
• Accreditation Administration: Oversee media accreditation and invitations, including supervising temporary staff as needed.
• Meeting Management: Organize and manage regular meetings, including agendas and action points.
Key Tasks
• Serve as the first point of contact for press inquiries via press@frieze.com, highlighting important requests.
• Respond to image requests and develop supporting communications materials for press packs and other needs.
• Conduct research for campaigns and develop materials for press events and speaking opportunities.
• Review daily clip reports, flagging major or relevant coverage.
• Oversee meeting agendas, notes, and RSVPs for invitations.
• Manage department subscriptions and proofread all communications materials.
• Maintain and update campaign media trackers, Sugar status, and archives of press releases, images, and press clippings.
• Cultivate and maintain a network of industry stakeholders and stay informed about arts media coverage and developments.
• Keep accurate data sheets and maintain up-to-date press lists.
• Support with questions and queries from junior/temp colleagues
You Have These:
• Some previous experience of working in a communications team or related field
• High attention to detail
• Ability to manage your time well
• Team player who can work towards a shared goal
• Degree in a related subject or equivalent experience
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Creative and enthusiastic approach to problem-solving.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and social media platforms.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and as part of a team.
