Job Description

Finn Partners is a dynamic and fast-growing global integrated communications and marketing firm in need of a Marketing and Media Analyst. The Marketing and Media Analyst will perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to optimize our client's marketing and communications efforts and conduct research that drives strategy and business decisions. The analyst will work closely with our industry practice groups, account teams, and digital/creative colleagues, and will establish processes to support continuous improvement and optimization of our client's marketing channels. The analyst will also be responsible for defining and reporting on key metrics and analyzing data from various sources to identify insights that will be used to enhance and optimize campaigns and communications efforts. Additionally, the individual will review past research, knowledge, and results to create guidelines that ensure advertising and media efforts are effective. High attention to detail, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a collaborative, team-oriented approach to work are critical skills for success in this role. Salary commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
• Work with both internal and external teams to understand goals and data sources and help establish benchmarks and metrics of campaigns
• Design and execute research projects such as web/social/media landscape scans, search and SEO analysis, competitor audits, paid advertising analysis, web/social/email channel audits, and audience research
• Develop target audience persona and audience journey maps
• Use data and insights to contribute to strategy development, including messaging and content strategy, channel planning, and advertising approach
• Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing and communications campaigns, website changes, and outbound programs on stated goals and objectives
• Design experiments and leverage various tools to implement A/B or multivariate tests to provide in-depth insights to the marketing teams and the client on the effectiveness of online/digital initiatives
• Identify marketing opportunities to help optimize online advertising and media efforts, encourage visits, conversions, and increased retention
• Collaborate with team members to improve marketing and media reporting
• Assist in conducting comprehensive market research and identify market and industry trends
• Review, support, and recommend improvements to existing analysis procedures and methods
• Provide expert perspective on modeling approaches, techniques, tools, and visualizations in resolving marketing and communications related business problems.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's or equivalent degree in Marketing, Business, Communication or a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics) or humanities (e.g., Psychology, Economics)
• Advanced degree a plus
• 1-3 years' experience in a related analyst role required; experience in an advertising, public relations or marketing and/or communications agency highly desired
• Thorough understanding of marketing and communications measurement and/or web/social media/marketing analytics
• Experience telling stories with data and analytics through powerful and impactful data visualizations to capture senior management attention
• Familiar with web analytic tools such as Google Analytics, Google AdWords, Google Trends, SEMRush, Answer the Public, etc.
• Familiar with social media research tools such as Crimson Hexagon, TalkWalker, Infegy Atlas or similar platforms
• Familiar with audience research tools, such as YouGov, Global Web Index, and DemographicsPro
• Familiar with primary research methodologies including survey design, In-Depth-Interviews, and focus groups
• Knowledge of Pay-per-click (PPC), email marketing, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
• Experience developing attribution models, and measuring and managing the consumer funnel
• Google AdWords and Google Analytics certifications a plus
• Working knowledge of major marketing automation platforms, including HubSpot, Marketo, Salesforce, or similar
• Advanced spreadsheet skills (pivot tables, Excel, Google Docs, etc)
• Comfortable with hands-on involvement with data retrieval, manipulation, analysis, and insight generation
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with an ability to multi-task and prioritize/complete projects in a timely manner
• Understanding of statistics, research analytics, and research software programs and visualization tools (STATA, SPSS, SAS, R, Tableau) a plus
• Excellent verbal, written, communication as well as presentation skills
