What You'll Do
As the Director of Compliance, you will play a key role in leading Epic's efforts to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. You will help develop and implement Epic's risk management strategies and lead a team of compliance professionals focused on compliance assurance and risk management.
In this role, you will
• Develop strategy for conducting internal assessments of compliance controls across laws and regulations
• Develop compliance risk management strategies to support adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
• Manage a team of compliance professionals and support their growth in their roles
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of compliance issues to senior management
• Stay informed of emerging industry regulations and best practices to inform and continuously improve the company's compliance posture
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support the implementation of compliance controls and processes to ensure consistency across the company
• Serve as a subject matter expert on compliance matters and provide guidance to key stakeholders as needed
What we're looking for
• 10+ years of relevant work experience in compliance, risk management, or auditing, preferably in a similar industry
• Experience managing and leading teams; progressive growth in current and prior roles
• Experience partnering with stakeholders across legal, finance, people, product, and engineering teams
• Proactively identify process gaps, roadblocks, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies that will negatively impact risk and compliance efforts and mitigate them
• Experience developing, monitoring, and reporting on a suite of KPIs / KRIs for various internal reviews, including Executive Leadership and Board-level reporting
• Significant experience with program or project management, including developing long-term strategy consisting of multiple smaller projects, defining program strategy, and defining metrics
• Experience in large organizations requiring collaboration and coordination across diverse stakeholder groups to successfully align the company to execute a vision.
• Exceptional communication skills and experience working successfully in a global environment with a diverse group of colleagues.
• Experience in content regulation, online safety, privacy, and/or security is a plus.
• Hard worker who is comfortable operating in a complex and dynamic environment; this person will be energized by big challenges and working with excellent people; passion for doing the right thing
This role is open to multiple locations across the US (including CA, NYC, & WA).

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren't limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic's generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
New York City Base Pay Range
$224,792 — $329,695 USD
California Base Pay Range
$224,792 — $329,695 USD
Washington Base Pay Range
$224,792 — $329,695 USD
