What You'll Do:
The Payroll Specialist owns the management of our Greek payroll for OpenBet Hellas, which has ~500 employees.
The role reports into the Director of HR Operations, based in London, and collaborates with the HR Operations Assistant, based in Athens.
The payroll management activities include:
• Preparing the payroll inputs including all the new joiners, leavers and any changes to the existing employee circumstances,
• Reviewing the reports send by our Partner following the defined governance, and
• Securing the relevant sign offs for salaries and allowances to be paid to employees.
The Payroll Specialist also manages all the relevant notifications and reports to Ergani and other local and authorities, as well as the payroll audit processes we periodically go through.
OpenBet Hellas runs two payrolls every month, as well as process the teleworking allowance as a separate payment. We also run a special pay run for the Easter, Vacation and Christmas allowance payments.
Lastly, the Payroll Specialist provides guidance or support with managing employee queries and communications related to payroll.
You Have These:
• Educated to degree level with an HR/Accounting qualification or related field, or studying towards it.
• Proficient in English.
• 2-4 years previous experience in working in an HR/Finance environment in a Payroll capacity or equivalent and at least 2 years' experience of working with Greek payroll and managing payroll activities, as well as Ergani submissions.
• Has experience with Payroll governance and can juggle various administrative tasks in a timely manner.
• Has a good understanding of employee lifecycle events and its impact on payroll.
• Could have experience of using Workday as a plus, but not mandatory.
• Possesses great Office Suite skills, especially Excel spreadsheets and formulas.
• Has an eye for detail, good analysis skills, reliable and well organized in managing own workload.
• Takes pride in delivering high quality work.
• Manifests a professional attitude, strong interpersonal and presentational skills and
• Is highly self-motivated with a positive, 'can do' attitude.
