We're looking for a great Senior Art Director. A traditional title for a non-traditional role. We create experiential so we're looking for someone familiar with 3D, can speak to building materials and substrates, has working knowledge of digital, and understands how to create a full consumer journey.

We're looking for a type-A concepting machine-someone who can not only think on their feet, but organize those thoughts into a compelling story. Someone who can see the big idea, but not miss the little details. And finally, someone who can translate great creative and present to clients.

The job:

This Sr. Art Director will report directly to the Creative Director and will provide internal resources needed to deliver a broad mix of capabilities including, but not limited to:
• Experiential Strategy Concepting & Ideation
• Storytelling
• Proposal and RFP Response
• Environmental Design, Illustrations & 3-D Renderings
• Graphic Design

Key Job Roles

The Sr. Art Director has the potential of managing 2-3 team members in the Creative Solutions department and is responsible for:

Team Leadership / Mentorship
• Maintaining high standards on program graphics/ both graphic design and application; responding to creative requests that entail discussing creative options and deadlines; working with Traffic Manager to secure, brief and manage resources to assure deadlines are met; recruiting new resources to spark creative thinking; managing freelance artists and interns when needed;
• Working directly with copywriters and other designers to assemble graphic comps
• Maintaining direction over assigned internal graphic designers, production artists and outsourced creative contractors necessary to fulfill project demands

Presentation Skills / Concepting / Proposal Development
• (Client-focused) Supporting RFP responses through the brainstorming and development of conceptual ideas while helping guide the development of presentation renderings including illustrations and graphic design comps for exhibits, environments and all visual communications
• Express ideas clearly and enthusiastically to internal peers and clients alike through written and verbal formats
• Direct development of assigned presentation materials on all levels, such as brainstorming, sketching, typesetting, layouts, etc.

Illustration / 3D Renderings / Video Production, Interactive UX, Digital Media
• Helping brief and direct preliminary drawings of proposed exhibits and consumer engagements, including storyboarding, layout; coordinating ideas with Production Services personnel or select outside vendors to make sure budget goals are met. Submit plan for approval, and adapt plan as needed to serve intended purpose or to conform to budget or fabrication restrictions.
• Must demonstrate a working knowledge or familiarity with design and communication strategy across all mediums including digital, video, mobile, social and other broadcast mediums

Experience and Technical Requirements

Minimum Required Experience
• Complete and up-to-date online portfolio
• Eight (8) or more years equivalent work experience as graphic designer
• At least three (3) years of experiential design and outdoor event related work
• Proven experience managing creative processes and a team of direct reports
• Excellent presentation skills with ability to lead a discovery session with a client, present concepts and tell the story of how the concept meets the client's objective both verbally and through written proposals
• Must be able to multi-task in a highly productive, fast-paced environment
• Must be proficient in Adobe CC apps and be fluent in MS Office, Word, and PPT
