Job Description

At Ripple Effect, we are a studio where you can do the best work of your career. Above all, we're driven by quality - in the games we create, and in the studio we've built.
Our values: We believe every day our work is better than it was the day before. We iterate and support our devs as they grow in their crafts and push one another toward mastery. We believe in operating with integrity, and creating a diverse team where everyone's ideas are heard.

With studios located in Los Angeles and Vancouver, Ripple Effect has been dedicated to the Battlefield franchise since our founding as DICE LA in 2013. We created Battlefield 2042's Portal, and have supported DICE on every Battlefield game since Battlefield 4.

Now, we're looking for new team members to help us create the next Battlefield.

The Role: We are looking for an experienced Senior Production Director who is passionate about both process and gaming, to provide daily production leadership to the project and its teams. You will manage project and resource planning, balance scope with capacity, track progress, implement and improve processes, mentor people, and manage risks and mitigation. You are a master of content pipelines and feature development. You understand the iterative nature of creative processes and how to empower them. You know how to build healthy, high functioning relationships with external vendors. You are a force multiplier for the team.

This role will report to the Line Director, Production for the studio.

We are considering on-site and hybrid working options.

What skills do we look for?

You are passionate about managing creative teams. You have 7+ years working as a project manager in AAA game development, you have 3+ years of experience working in leading game teams, you have experience managing internal and external teams, and you have led a team through all stages of game development, from concept through to launch and live service. You have many conflict resolution tools in your tool belt. You are comfortable talking across all levels of an organization, you always know the status of your project and can visualize that status for any audience. You understand the complexities and requirements of game production and how to manage them.

We believe that you have experience working with (or equivalent):
• Establishing direction and strategy for a project or multiple teams while ensuring alignment with internal and external leadership, with an emphasis on team empowerment.
• Project management frameworks such as Agile and/or Waterfall.
• Monitoring and adjusting capacity plans for a project or multiple teams to address skill gaps and identify funding needs.
• Owning the budget for a project or multiple teams and partnering with finance to maintain a healthy P&L.
• Being the point of escalation for conflict management and problem solving.
• Partnering with Production at all levels to train them and provide mentorship.
• Establishing and maintaining team health standards through team leaders.
• Identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives across full projects or multiple teams.
• Approving plans, schedules, and status reports across the project or multiple teams.
• Anticipating and solving studio-wide dependencies between the project and external groups.
• Using change management processes to effectively communicate and measure effectiveness of project wide change.
