Quality Designer
This role will be Hybrid to our Galway Office.
We're excited you're interested to learn more about how you can join our In-Game Experience (IGX) team working on the EA connect product.
As a Quality Designer, your time will be focused on ensuring that we can build long-term scalable solutions for our testing responsibilities. Additionally, you will focus on improving the operational efficiency of QA efforts by assessing current quality assurance practices and incorporating new QA strategies.
What you'll do:
• You will partner with senior development, production, design, and QV teams to ensure that we create high-quality features from both a functional and qualitative perspective.
• You will build and implement the Test Strategy to ensure test coverage to find issue early in the development cycle.
• You will report progress, current status, and risks to your features through regular email or face-to-face communication with peers, managers, and partners across the organization.
• You will research, analyze and compile data points spanning multiple sources into cohesive and consumable summaries that demonstrate impact to overall quality.
• You will mentor peers, assisting with and growing their knowledge.
• You will report directly to QV Development Manager
What we are looking for:
• You are comfortable with testing on multiple platforms, including Mobile, PC, Mac, Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox.
• You have a working knowledge of end-to-end automation.
• You have an advanced ability to use industry-standard defect and task tracking tools, such as JIRA, QMetry and TestRail. With both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• You understand game development, interdisciplinary dependencies and associated development risks.
• You are can manage risks, with the approach of finding permanent solutions and averting them in the future
• You can use your own Research skills to identify gaps in the testing process and analysis & use of test data for highlighting risks & impact.
