About the Role:

Are you passionate about new technologies and continually pushing the boundaries of game development? Great, so are we! EA Sports Technical Art is seeking a Content Tool and Pipeline Technical Artist (Pipeline TD) to partner with project leadership and our incredible team of Technical Artists (Pipeline TDs) to develop the next generation of content creation tools. The work you do will have a direct business impact to EA Sports and contribute to the foundation for future technology developments.

Your Responsibilities:

As a Content Tool and Pipeline Technical Artist you'll help us to develop some incredible character-centric game features. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the content pipeline, DCC software tools, providing artist support, and general troubleshooting of tools and the pipeline. TAs are expected to assume ownership of their content, and resolve any technical or quality issues that arise.

Your Qualifications
• At least 5+ years of games/VFX/cinematic production experience working in technical art/pipeline development roles.
• Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining tools.
• Experience with production pipelines.
• Effective at communicating with different audiences: artists, engineers, and managers.
• Expert in scripting/programming in Python.
• Experience with Houdini/Maya.
• Experience with version control, Git/Perforce and code review.
• A solutions-provider, especially as it pertains to testing and debugging technical issues.
• A willingness to jump into the unknown and solve new problems to resolve technical challenges and limitations.
• A Passion for Games!

Great To Have
• Experience with Render Farm Managers such as Deadline.
• Experience with Production Management software such as ShotGrid.
• Experience with Machine Learning and data management

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º $115,100 - $161,200 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. '
