Job Title: Junior Cinematic Artist – The Sims (Temporary Full Time)

The Growth Marketing Content Production Team plans, creates, and delivers compelling creative content to empower EA's brand go-to-market strategies across global channels. We leverage industry-leading expertise in computer graphics and design, VFX, storytelling, and editorial, directing, and producing to execute content that represents and expands our franchise strategies, expand lore and gameplay insight, and deliver call-to-action excitement to our fans and players around the world.

Description:

As a Junior Cinematic Artist you will report to a Senior Cinematic Artist and work with a team of creative artists and leads to help capture The Sims 4 gameplay content (video and static image) for marketing, social, internal, and occasionally in-game use.

You will have an understanding of technical skills regarding the technology used in game development (internal tools, debug command interfaces, and game engines).

As a member of the capture team, You will be asked to learn our brand bible and best practices while given the freedom to create characters and assets to deliver content on brief and on-time.

Interpretation and visualization of a sequence from a shot list are also helpful.

Responsibilities:
• Create diverse Sim characters.
• Build in-game interior and exterior sets with guidance.
• Capture in-game videos for trailers, social media assets, and other uses under guidance.
• Capture screenshots under supervision, and finalize them using Photoshop.
• Create GIFs from captured footage.
• Report and communicate issues to the leads. Communication is important.

Qualifications:
• Familiarity with the Sims 4.
• Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
• Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop.
• Welcome feedback and constructive criticism, and enjoy working in a collaborative, iterative, and agile process.
• Ability to learn video game debug systems and company proprietary software.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime when necessary.
• Passion for games and creating video content.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Familiarity with editing software (Adobe Premiere / Unreal).

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):

º $55,800 - $74,300 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
