ROLE OVERVIEW:
Our Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team provides strategic and financial partnership to EA's Leadership teams. We achieve this through engaging with our partners to understand our broad strategy, analyzing data, and delivering insights to guide EA's performance.
The Quality Verification & Standards (QVS) group is one of the largest teams across EA with operations across 14 global sites delivering services such QA testing, user research, compliance, accessibility standards, and live service support. The QVS group is driven by their vision to build games in a better way with a mission to empower game teams to create high-quality experiences for all players across three central pillars, Software Quality – are the games bug free, Experiential Quality – what's the player experience, and Operational Excellence – emphasizing continuous improvement across game development.
This FP&A Finance Manager II will manage business support for our Sports Quality Verification team, and the newly opened Quality Verification Center of Excellence located in Bogota Colombia, and work in close partnership with the Senior Manager of FP&A for the consolidation of the entire QVS group. This role will require a candidate capable of navigating and influencing several organizations and confident engaging with executives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will partner with leaders across QVS to support and drive their businesses and work closely with the FP&A team that supports them across all financial elements associated with the delivery of EA's strategy.
• Lead the financial planning process, including annual, quarterly, and bi-weekly planning and risks & opportunities cycles.
• Consolidate financial results for both the Sports Quality Verification Team and the newly opened QV Center of Excellence located in Bogota Colombia.
• Provide regular financial visibility with regards to Outlook, Risk and Opportunities.
• Provide strategic advice and partnership to business leaders and Studio FP&A partners.
• Establish and track performance measurements across all major functions and projects.
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support our partners.
• Guidance on core finance processes, building efficiencies and streamlining deliverables.
• Balance priorities and find creative solutions that achieve results.
CAPABILITIES:
• Seven or more years' experience in mid-level to senior finance roles.
• Resolve complex business issues, ability to move beyond reporting to synthesis and insight.
• Self-motivated, demonstrates initiative, flexibility, maturity under pressure & anticipates and resolves problems before they develop.
• Effective communicator to executive audiences in person, written, and through clear presentations.
• In-depth knowledge of financial planning and analysis
• Experience evaluating performance metrics and implementing action plans.
• Experience using tools, processes, and teamwork to work at scale.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL SKILLS
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience with project allocations, budgeting, capitalized assets and projects, forecasting and analysis.
• People management experience is preferred
• Proficiency in Accounting and general GAAP knowledge
• Excellent MS excel (can perform complex functions) and PowerPoint expertise,
• Knowledge in Anaplan and Power BI
• Preference for experience working in game development.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
• $107,600 - $147,100 CAD
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees.
