The Challenge Ahead

This role in the Game Creation Engineering team reports to a Sr.

Development Director. It is a key role in the Game Creation Engineering

team and offers a recognized expert the opportunity to lead the

development of a portfolio of enterprise-wide solutions in support of

Application Lifecycle Management for EA's video games and central services

teams.

You will be involved in all aspects of enterprise software development

working closely and hands on with the development team as well as other

teams as part of Agile run projects to deliver the best quality game

development solutions.

As a Development Director (DD), you'll be primarily driving collaboration in

planning and execution on our cross-functional game development

applications across the entire EA organization. You will be managing a

partnership with other development leaders and managers.

This is a role that

involves a high level of interaction with team members, peers, and

development leadership. DD's focus on outcomes, solving problems, and

making things work (or work better). You'll be accountable for leading the

team to meet milestones and quality targets, creating and improving

processes, coordinating with support departments across the company,

tracking and resolving issues, and seeking out opportunities for Continuous

Service Improvement.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog

refinement) and enhance Agile development practices within the team.
• Oversee team deliveries, including managing risks, dependencies, and

critical paths.
• Coordinate tasks across diverse internal and external teams, spanning

multiple locations, time zones, and cultures.
• Improve operational effectiveness of team effort by assessing current

practices, incorporating new strategies, and increasing predictability.
• Work with the Product Management team to lock down requirements

and specifications.
• Able to initiate or implement development process improvements to

achieve efficiencies and to act as a change agent for process

improvements.
• Effectivity monitor and adjust capacity plans.
• Effectively report progress and status through email or face to face

with leads/managers.

Required Skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication and possess strong

emotional intelligence skills.
• Ability to think outside the box in a challenging and ambiguous

environment.
• 5+ years Project Management or Project Lead experience
• 2+ Experience in a Scrum / Agile software development environment.
• In-depth knowledge of software development operations
• Ability to plan and execute change through a formalized change

management process.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science, Information

Technology or equivalent domain
• Experience with Jira a plus

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES
• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):

º $140,700 - $204,700 USD Annually
• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):

º $125,300 - $204,700 USD Annually
• Jersey City, NJ :

º $164,800 - $204,700 USD Annually
• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):

º $131,000 - $174,800 USD Annually
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):

º $125,300 - $198,100 USD Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
