As an Associate Quality Designer, your role is versatile with many areas of focus and responsibilities. An Associate Quality Designer is a catalyst, verifying quality in their given area's design. Ensuring that its features are tested, and that the quality of the game lives up to our player's expectations. Associate Quality Designers at DICE are embedded in development and will test, document, and analyze the game at all stages of development. As part of the Audio QV team you will partner with the DICE audio department, working on the latest games and the technology behind their creation. Your role in this will also be to facilitate improvements in the creation experience for developers.

Responsibilities

As an Associate Quality Designer in the Audio craft, you will take ownership of the sound fidelity of the product, from the opening cinematics, interface use, to in-game play. Working directly alongside experienced development partners, and reporting to a QV lead, you will be supported and trained in how DICE works with the craft. You will establish processes, write documentation, support the development tracking of audio feature work throughout our development milestones. You will play an important part in the future of the DICE QV Content strategy, evolving the QV audio craft. You Will
• Establish QV processes with the Audio team.
• Work with artists, animators, designers and others to ensure DICE Audio quality standards are maintained.
• Participate in daily development meetings and share updates with the wider QV team.
• Develop an intimate understanding of the audio production for our games and their associated requirements.
• Proactively improve quality of features and own defect containment processes.
• Provide qualitative feedback to improve overall product quality and the perception of the art, content and features used in our games.
• Work closely with the DICE Technical Sound Design craft; be a bridge between the QV and audio discipline.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience in Audio.
• Experience with game engine editors (e.g. Frostbite, Unreal Engine, or Unity) & Audio software (Wwise & FMOD).
• A general understanding of build systems, pipelines, continuous integration, unit tests, automation, and testing frameworks.
• General comprehension of software development processes, understanding of software production milestones.
• Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Testrail or equivalent bug and test case management systems is also preferable.
• Understanding of what makes Audio great in a game and a passion for Audio in games.
