Assistant Localization Content Manager - 12 Month Contract
Remote/Hybrid from anywhere within the Republic of Ireland
Main Purpose of the Role
Reporting to CM Management, the Assistant Localization Content Manager main goals are:
• Maximize the Return on Investment for the money invested by Studio
• Grant time to market predictability for all EA localized products
• Ensure the best possible quality of localization
Focused on accomplishing core tasks within all EA end-to-end localization processes, the Assistant Localization Content Manager is expected to anticipate and provide solutions for content issues contained in both the source and localized text, always looking at opportunities to improve the efficiency of all localization areas of competence.
This role can be fully remote from anywhere in Republic of Ireland or Hybrid to our Galway office.
Responsibilities
Following EA procedures and requirements, you will guarantee the top-to-bottom smooth running and final delivery of all the projects and tasks assigned to you:
• Content Analysis: You will analyze content and communicate our Localization partners what is relevant for the different phases of Localization. You will keep track of all available content and maintain a content/feature analysis DB updated, with the objective of highlighting and conveying risks and quality/end-user preferences to Dev, EA Partners and Loc teams. You will track the English/source content scope changes versus the original approved assumptions.
• Critical Items Analysis: You will ensure the correctness of all Critical items contained in all languages localized assets and in the English source text. You will help provide EA Localization with metrics and post project evaluations aimed at improving bug prevention.
• Translation Management: You will handle and be responsible for:
All-comprehensive localization management: from content creation to delivery
Critical items check: on source text before translation and on localized text afterwards
Tracking: of relevant data and established metrics
• Audio Management: Whenever needed, you will support recording processes from end to end.
• Risk Management: You will detect and communicate to Project Managers any content related risks affecting allocated projects.
• Communication: You will be the main point of contact for localized content-related matters, ensuring the correct information flows. You will directly manage the interactions between the team and our partners inside and outside EA Localization, displaying an inclusive and collaborative attitude.
• CRM: You will create a solid relationship with Studio and EA Partners based on early engagement. You will understand and act considering all different partners' needs and expectations.
Technical Skills
Excellent English, written and oral
Familiarity with Audio and Onscreen content management
Microsoft Excel proficiency (can perform complex functions)
Knowledge of CAT tools
Soft Skills
Can work on complex and simultaneous projects, with tight and changing timelines
Clear, to-the-point communication

Experience
+1 years of experience in Localization
+1 years of experience in start-to-end video game content management
Exposure to audio recording and translation processes
1+ years of experience working across multiple departments situated in different geographical locations
Experience working in a multicultural environment/organization
Experience in game production pipelines (beneficial)
