Job Objectives
• Translates business needs and disambiguates requests and transforms them into analytics projects to help inform business decisions.
• Oversees and implements the complete data analytics process, from data collection to implementing data-driven recommendations.
• Drives the development of predictive and prescriptive analytic models to identify trends and opportunities.
• Acts as a subject matter expert in advanced analytics, providing mentorship to other analysts and stakeholders.
• Spearheads the design and implementation of complex machine learning models and algorithms to tackle business challenges.
• Provides data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership, playing an instrumental role in strategic decision-making.
• Leads cross-functional teams in the development and implementation of strategic data projects, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
• Innovates new data analysis methodologies and tools for improved efficiency and accuracy.
• Establishes and enforces data governance protocols to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
• Evaluates and aids in selecting tools, technologies, and platforms for data analysis and machine learning.

• Designs and implements a robust, reliable, and highly effective telemetry system that accurately collects and transmits crucial in-game data, enhancing game performance and user experience.
• Ensures seamless integration of the telemetry system with each studio's game systems, guaranteeing compatibility and optimal performance.
• Develops and maintains a high-capacity data pipeline for efficient handling, processing, and analysis of the collected telemetry data, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility.
• Performs various analyses/researches based on the requests and characteristics received from the users/clients, so that they can define the specifications necessary to develop/update/improve the informatic systems.
Responsibilities
• Understands and addresses effectively to queries from teams and partners, championing the application of new concepts and improvements.
• Applies advanced statistical analysis to craft insightful reports for stakeholders and partners with top management to define data analysis objectives.
• Utilizes expert Data Science techniques to scrutinize and analyze data, with a comprehensive understanding of descriptive statistics for data aggregation and summarization.
• Oversees and manages data analysis projects, creating forecasting models, and examining trends for strategic decision-making purposes.
• Supervises the creation and administration of machine learning solutions, guaranteeing the production of superior, optimized algorithms.
• Drafts complex technical scripts, standardizes data values for data analytics systems, and assesses new data analysis tools and technologies.
• Proactively investigates data complications and works on rectifying them while tracking critical performance indicators.
• Heads the data cleaning, mapping, and shaping processes and delivers intricate data insights in a clear, effective manner.
• Articulates clearly with all stakeholders, understanding and ensuring adherence to organizational data policies and structures.
• Systematically identifies and directs the implementation of business process improvements, contributing to strategic planning at an executive level.
• Suggests and executes solutions with minimal supervision, actively engaging in cross-discipline collaborations.
• Authors and revises various materials, explaining intricate statistical concepts in an easy-to-understand language for non-technical stakeholders.
• Directs the design and execution of data visualization strategies, ensuring expedited decision-making and continuous improvement within the data analysis function.
• Manages tasks effectively, identifying problems early, and employing past experiences and creativity to problem-solving.
• Gives and welcomes constructive feedback, coaches team members, and manages his/her own time efficiently.
• Coaches both junior and senior analysts in choosing suitable tools for data extraction and analysis, ensuring efficient dataset management.
• Participates in and often leads recruitment and selection processes for new team members.
• Cooperates with different internal and external cross-functional teams to comprehend their future needs in terms of KPIs, and then architect and develop the telemetry system to align with those KPIs;
• Works closely with game developers and designers to comprehend the game mechanics, player behaviour, and adjust the implementation process around those areas;
• Oversees the implementation process and the data aggregation / pipeline creation to ensure that all necessary data is accurately captured and properly formatted to answer future questions;
• Cooperates with the QV team to test telemetry under different scenarios and ensure it correctly triggers and collects data. Assists with debugging and develops workarounds to overcome any issues or limitations that may arise during the implementation phase;
• Guarantees data privacy and protection guidelines to comply with current regulation;
• Maintains and improves telemetry systems.

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º $107,600 - $147,100 CAN Annually
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
