Responsibilities
The DreamWorks Animation Early Career Programs & Diversity Outreach Team works with a wide range of groups, communities, organizations & schools to identify up and coming talent who might have potential as a DreamWorks employee, intern and/or trainee. Open positions vary from year to year, but include the diverse areas of our expanding business.
Our ideal Specialist candidate is outgoing, proactive, innovative, and creative in their approach as a communicator.
Responsibilities:
• Manage full cycle recruitment process for the Spring, Summer and Fall internship programs and annual trainee programs (verifying headcount approvals, hiring team intakes, source candidates, ensure interviews are set up, make offers, etc.)
• Help design and facilitate learnings and run experience events for DreamWorks interns and trainees
• Work with Programs Coordinator to onboard Interns and Trainees
• Help provide curriculum support, mentorship and development for interns and trainees participating in Early Career programs
• Collaborate with other internal university recruiting teams to combine efforts and maximize branding opportunities
• Establish new and maintain existing relationships with Colleges and University Programs at Dreamworks' target schools
• Deliver presentations to academic partners and students on campuses
• Work with ECI Programs Team to create and plan unique special events and programming at universities, conferences, and onsite at our studio locations
• Partner with Recruiting, Creative Talent Management and other internal departments to clearly identify the goals and objectives for Early Careers & Inclusion. Keep internal departments up to date with various Inclusion initiatives and University Relations partnerships
• Maintenance of Intern and Trainee database, tracking progress, feedback and placement opportunities for Early Career & Inclusion programs
• Present early career and diverse talent pools and sourced candidates to DreamWorks hiring teams
• Provide innovative suggestions and ideas to attract early career and diverse talent in a competitive marketplace
Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum of 3 years of relative experience in recruiting, university relations or Diversity & Inclusion
• Public speaking skills are a must
• Professional, well-organized, self-motivated
• Confident and proactive with excellent communication skills
• Is a team player, who genuinely enjoys working with others
Desired Characteristics
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with applicant tracking and/or candidate relationship management system
• Experience working in the animation industry
• Strong passion for animation
• Experience in working with art, creative or design school programs
• Experience with communication among all levels are areas within a business, as well as, external partners
• Experience in fast-paced, high energy environments
• Ability to travel during peak recruiting seasons
