Disney's Direct to Consumer team oversees the Hulu and Disney+ streaming businesses within Disney Entertainment helping to bring The Walt Disney Company's best-in-class storytelling to fans and families everywhere. Disney Direct to Consumer includes premium streaming services with Hulu, a premium streaming service that offers premium originals, current season TV, a massive library of hit series and movies, and live television and Disney+ is the Disney-branded streaming service featuring an incomparable collection of content from its brands and franchises recognized and respected all over the world including Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, Disney, and NatGeo. Job Summary:
The Walt Disney Corporation's Disney Streaming group Viewer Experience (VX, or Customer Support) team is seeking an Associate Product Specialist who will be an exceptional addition to our Viewer Insights team. As an Associate Product Specialist supporting the DTC division (Hulu/Disney+/Star+) you will work to identify and eliminate viewer friction surfaced on support channels ensuring viewers are always top of mind. The right person for this role likes to solve problems utilizing all data points available to create a compelling case. Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
• Support our Product Specialists to turn broader buckets of data into specific and actionable pieces of feedback, conveying the nuances of the feedback. Measure and report the impact of eliminating viewer pain points
• Assist in building regular Viewer Insight reports and presentations circulated through the wider Business that give Leadership and Stakeholders insight into what type of issues viewers are surfacing through support channels
• Join relevant meetings with VI team members or VX Analytic Senior Manager leads ensuring comprehensive notes and actions are taken and distributed.
• Responsible for maintaining our suite of reports ensuring it's maintained and well-organized
• Review the Viewer Insights intake form repository and ensure Product Specialists are aware of requests
Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:
• 2 years of professional experience in a data-focused program with cross-functional teams and shown business outcomes
• Strong communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders and convey the sentiment of Viewers
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to pick up on the nuances of problem statements both written and verbally expressed
• Nimble with data and can convey needs to an analyst and perform light analysis
• Organized and efficient. Ability to independently manage multiple requests at a given time
• Familiarity with streaming services with the ability to identify viewer sentiment
Nice to Haves:
• Knowledge of the product development cycle
• Knowledge of a Viewer Experience or Customer Service organization
• Exposure working in a streaming environment
The hiring range for this position in California is $63,450.00 to $77,550.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
This position is with Hulu, LLC, which is part of a business we call Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution.
