Position Summary:
The Vice President, Marketing/Publicity/Sales/Education is primarily responsible for leading the vision, development, communication, execution, assessment, and ongoing evolution of Disney Theatrical Group's integrated strategies and programs across the multiple disciplines of the Marketing, Publicity, Sales & Analytics, and Education & Audience Engagement functions. One of the key deliverables of the role is to build and foster an ongoing environment of creative collaboration between a large and diverse group of highly skilled heads of departments and their respective teams.

As an active and engaged key member of DTG's executive leadership team, the VP, Marketing/Publicity/Sales/Education partners extensively with Executive Management (EVP, Managing Director; EVP, Production; Chief Creative Officer; SVP, International Licensing & Global Brand Management; wider Executive Team) to define, manage, refine, and change overall marketing and communication strategy for a complex organization with multiple brands, product lines, and IP, each with its own set of business objectives and success criteria. While the role's day-to-day revenue responsibility is tied primarily to Disney Theatrical Group's Broadway-based shows, the role will actively consult with key partners in DTG's other revenue centers, including touring, international, and licensed productions.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic and entrepreneurial individual with diverse and proven experience in marketing, promoting, and selling a spectrum of live entertainment properties, including, most importantly, Broadway productions. This person has a track record of inspirational staff leadership, demonstrated financial/sales achievement, a superior creative aesthetic, and an opportunistic eye for the many ways in which a brand communicates to its consumer base. They consistently demonstrate top-notch skills in critical analysis, active problem-solving, strategic collaboration, conflict management, persuasion, and storytelling. This person brings a diverse perspective, transparent and accessible interpersonal communication, the ability to clearly articulate priorities and processes, and the ability to quickly pivot as circumstances require. They have extensive and proven team leadership and staff development skills and maintain active relationships with key theatre and live entertainment industry leaders, professionals, agencies, media partners, distribution vendors, and/or talent. Finally, the ideal candidate is passionately committed to the mission and values of the performing arts and the development of its future audiences.

Key Responsibilities:
• Drive revenue for DTG, with a particular focus on DTG's Broadway productions, via integration between the Marketing, Publicity, Sales & Analytics, and Education & Audience Engagement teams, with the objective of creating opportunities that optimize outcomes related to scope, impact, income, creativity, customer experience, and more. Set and achieve quarterly and annual goals across these four primary functions.

• Consistently identify new opportunities, build proposals, and gain executive buy-in to execute multi-layered marketing programs across teams.
• Ensure a singular brand voice with clear, consistent messaging across different disciplines and productions.
• Partner with global brand management and related functions across DTG's suite of brands (such as DTG shows around the world, stage licensing titles, and Disney on Ice).
• Oversee the alignment of DTG's social responsibility and philanthropic initiatives and the holistic reporting of the same.
• In partnership with DTG's Finance and Strategy functions, manage the expectations of Executive Management and other parts of TWDC on how DTG defines, manages, and communicates its broader marketing and sales goals and priorities as part of DTG's annual operating plan.
• Understand the wider Disney consumer experience and develop DTG marketing and publicity programs that tie directly to it. Translate and link TWDC corporate-wide objectives with those of DTG, and as such manage and/or participate in select relationships connected to initiatives in such areas as Social Responsibility, Synergy, Consumer Data Integration, and Franchise Marketing.
• Engage at the executive level internally with multiple members of DTG staff (and key staff throughout TWDC as required). The function engages externally with members of the theatre industry and community; marketing partners; philanthropic partners; tourist, B2B, and sales distribution partners; and members of the press or influencers, as projects or initiatives dictate.
• Manage 6 direct reports (each with substantial teams, some with external agencies).

Competencies and Skills:
• Superior leadership and relationship management skills, including the ability to manage and inspire multiple projects across a large, diverse, experienced staff.
• Proven ability to: develop missions and goals; prioritize objectives and allocate time/resources accordingly; and reflect on completed projects with an eye towards improving subsequent efforts.
• Passion for live entertainment, with a particular focus on musical theatre, and the ability to translate that passion into the advocacy for and engagement of future audiences.
• Excellent ability to overcome challenges and optimize opportunities through a logical, systematic, sequential approach to analytical thinking.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to successfully communicate with staff of all levels in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Superior public speaking and presentation skills, including the ability to build and give professional-level presentations.
• Self-motivated, proactive attitude; adaptable and flexible; ability to lead and follow as circumstances require; a team player who knows when, how, and where to lead.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing and social media trends and tools.
• Proven experience in managing large budgets and complex financial plans.
• Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strategic partnerships and alliances.
