About The Role & Team

Disney Advertising Sales is seeking an experienced, versatile professional to report into the Director, Entertainment Brand Solutions. The Senior Manager will be responsible for developing strategic advertiser driven, cross-platform solutions (both proactively and in response to RFPs) and project management across Entertainment brands such as National Geographic, Disney Channels, Disney Digital, Hulu and Disney+ to drive revenue for Disney Advertising.

What You Will Do

Innovate, strategize and manage development of multiplatform Entertainment brand solutions. Will have strategic expertise in the creation, packaging and distribution of creative solutions in an evolving marketplace. Will contribute to the development of streaming first opportunities, as well as new models that drive revenue across all of our content distribution points including linear, streaming, addressable and social.
• Responsible for idea generation and leading brainstorms with key stakeholders from across different departments such as network marketing, CreativeWorks teams and producing partners.
• Responsible for creating all client-facing pitch materials that detail (customized and market-wide) sponsorship opportunities.
• Develop proactive solutions that align with the National Geographic, Disney Channel and Disney Digital editorial/marketing efforts
• Guide and build consensus among key stakeholders to obtain approval on creative ideas (Management, Legal, BS&P, PR, Business Affairs, studios, producers, etc.)
• Field incoming RFPs, developing smart, strategic solutions in collaboration with Client Connect and Disney CreativeWorks.
• Present and pitch ideas in client meetings as necessary.
• Facilitate deal negotiation.
• Work to streamline conversations between sales, Client Connect, RYM, Social Ad Ops and Pricing, and Social Centers of Excellence to approve deal structure between the different stakeholders and client. Provide strategic solutions between stakeholders during the deal negotiation.
• Work alongside Business Affairs and Legal to negotiate and confirm talent contracts and participation within integration and custom content campaigns.
• Collaborate with Director to develop sponsorship strategies and work closely with relevant network, streaming and sales partners to identify priorities, package opportunities that drive multi-million dollar revenue goals, and be ready to pivot as marketplace needs change.
• Responsible for understanding multi-cultural initiatives as they evolve in the marketplace and creating solutions that will champion multi-cultural network initiatives.
• Lead client facing activation process including creation of project timelines, approvals, production shoots, post-production, etc.
• Lead kick-off calls with client-facing materials and agenda both internally and externally.
• Facilitate creative approvals between client and several different internal stakeholders including Creative Works, Legal, and BS&P, etc.
• Manage on-set shoots – routing script delivery between internal and external stakeholders; client hosting; problem solving; balance platform, show, content and client creative needs etc.
• Responsible for ensuring project elements are delivering across all platforms between RYM, Promo Marketing Teams and production teams.
• Oversee all post production to ensure content launches properly on linear, streaming, addressable and social platforms.
• All project related documentation: deal agreement letters, budget management, billing, research etc.
• Oversee creation of case studies, deal recaps and research.
• Work alongside sales to ensure the program deliverables have been tracked with insight and research teams for linear, streaming, addressable and social assets.
• Help facilitate conversations with sales at the beginning and end of a campaign to ensure measurement success factors are agreed upon with research teams.
• Assist in presenting deal recaps and research to client alongside sales and research team to discuss the success of each campaign with the goal to discuss campaign renewals.
• Manage all Entertainment Brand Solutions related documentation and processes: project budget management, commercial inventory reserve, added value requests, department status reports, case studies, research, competitive analysis, etc.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with all internal stakeholders (e.g., Marketing, Legal, S&P, Programming, PR, Sales, etc.).
• Serve as a National Geographic, Disney Channels, and Disney Digital brand champion and content expert for external partners and internal Disney Advertising cross-portfolio colleagues. Help drive strategy and revenue performance for Entertainment Brand Solutions by maximizizing partnership opportunities.

Required Qualifications & Skills
• 7+ years of television and/or digital marketing, sponsorship, promotion, branded entertainment and/or media at a network, cable, streamer, promotional/media agency or entertainment studio
• Proven experience with sponsored social activations (across Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram)
• Ability to translate verbal ideas into written presentations
• Experience with deck creation through Powerpoint and Keynote
• Strong interpersonal skills (especially in high stress environments)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized, Self-motivated, proactive and flexible
• Ability to keep abreast of digital/social industry innovations, bringing new opportunities forward
• Expertise in project management/execution, attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills
• Proven team player with the desire to do whatever it takes and thrives in a team culture
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, mornings, weekends and/or occasional travel
• Ability to work in a highly matrixed environment
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Keynote, Google Docs/Sheets, Airtable
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position based in Santa Monica, CA is $123,000 to $165,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
