Disney Music Group is home to Hollywood Records, Walt Disney Records, Disney Music Publishing, Disney Concerts, and DMG Nashville. The labels' genre-spanning rosters include Sofia Carson, Breaking Benjamin, Bea Miller, Almost Monday, Joywave, Tini, Area 21, Queen Master Recordings and more. DMG also releases family music and film and television soundtracks such as the Oscar and Grammy-winning ''Frozen'' soundtrack, the Grammy-nominated soundtracks for ''Guardians of the Galaxy,'' the Aladdin original Broadway Cast Recording, and ''Saving Mr. Banks,'' as well as ''Star Wars.'' Upcoming soundtracks include ''Snow White,'' ''Lilo & Stitch,'' and ''Thunderbolts.'' DMG also releases the Walt Disney Records The Legacy Collection, a series celebrating the anniversaries of Disney's most cherished and classic films .

Disney Music Group is currently seeking a Soundtrack Specialist for their Burbank offices.

This individual will interface with many different individuals at all levels of the company, from production assistants to marketing leads and executives across multiple brands, as well as a broad range of individuals outside the company. This will require an outgoing, confident personality, coupled with good judgment, resourcefulness and discretion.

The Soundtrack Specialist will provide administrative support to the Director and VP and will assist in various aspects of the office's processes.

Responsibilities:
• Manage the deliverable assets for multiple projects simultaneous from start to finish including research, communication, preparation of all deliverable assets for our Disney Branded Entertainment Soundtrack partners (our area of responsibility includes: all DIS Branded live action releases, DIS branded animation, Marvel, Lucas, TDC, DJR, Muppets, DPEP, Pixar, DIS+ properties, video games)
• Work closely with A&R admin to develop correct label copy, vet lyrics are correct for Soundtracks projects and re-confirm any final details with stakeholders according to strict timelines.
• Secure mastering sessions and the on-time delivery of assets to production for manufacturing
• Handling audio approvals for international releases
• Assisting all partners, music composers and music supervisors to work through the myriad challenges for on-time delivery and keep them on task with a pleasant and helpful demeanor
• Communicate with Marketing and provide them with any information and assets they may need in order to plan and execute successful marketing campaigns for release
• Help our partners work through our system efficiently and provide them with appropriate guidance
• Provide basic admin support to VP and Director (primarily expenses, travel)

Qualifications:
• 2+ years prior experience required working within a Music Department setting
• Familiarity with Music Department on film or television productions, particularly with editors, music supervisors or similar.
• Superior communication skills with the ability to understand and effectively communicate and understand music industry terminology
• Familiarity with many different genres of music, musical score, instrumentation and musical terms and a willingness to listen to and learn unfamiliar works
• Effective communicator, strong oral and written skills
• Extraordinary attention to detail
• Able to self-manage competing deadlines
• Self-starter; self-motivated; takes initiative on projects and figuring out answers to questions
• Unafraid to ask questions
• Strong research and troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with the production of recording and electronic media projects
• Proactive and shows initiative with a sense of urgency

Preferred Qualifications:
• Music background preferred

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $58,700 to $78,600 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
