Music Research Coordinator
The Music Research team in Music Publishing works closely with production segments across The Walt Disney Company on music cue sheets for their iconic brands.
Our goal is to ensure the timely delivery of music reporting to performing rights organizations and interested parties worldwide for creators and publishers of music in productions presented by our world-class entertainment studios.
Responsibilities:
• Communicate with production parties on requests for post-production cue sheet onboarding, Soundmouse training, and ongoing interaction throughout the production.
• Create quarterly music video cue sheets and promo reporting to the Performing Rights Organizations (PROs).
• Locate and provide cue sheets for internal Disney teams.
• Research songs and interested party information.
• Secure, track, and provide owned, acquired, and licensed content cue sheets to PROs and external interested parties.
• Review, edit, and approve domestic and international cue sheets as assigned.
• Review, edit, and approve Parks & Resorts cue sheets.
• Handle various administrative tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
• At least 1 year of cue sheet preparation experience.
• General music business knowledge (music publishing, licensing, and performing rights).
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to problem-solve.
• Able to work under deadlines.
• College degree or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• RapidCue, Soundmouse, or other automated cue sheet program experience is a plus.
The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $50,320 - $65,120 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
