Disney's Direct to Consumer team oversees the Hulu and Disney+ streaming businesses within Disney Entertainment, helping to bring The Walt Disney Company's best-in-class storytelling to fans and families everywhere.
The Disney+ Programming team is responsible for leading content planning, scheduling, on-service merchandising, slate management, and programming insights that contribute to a cohesive strategic content approach for the service.
Job Summary:
Reporting into the Sr. Manager, Content Planning, the Manager, Content Planning will be responsible for coordination of international planning efforts across content types, partnering cross-functionally with teams including Networks/Studios, Operations, International Programming, Marketing, and Communications.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
• Lead content planning efforts with designated studios/networks, working closely with international programming teams, operations, and US-based Global teams to implement, track, and report on titles through lifecycle of planning to sunrise.
• Responsible for maintaining daily communication and positive relationships with networks, marketing, and international office partners.
• Coordinate calendars, reports, and content plans into data-informed summaries and high-level presentations for executives and internal collaborators.
• Represent Disney+ Global Content Planning & Scheduling in meetings with a professional and enthusiastic demeanor.
Required Qualifications & Skills
• 7+ years of experience in a field related to slate planning, content strategy, content curation, localization, lifecycle planning, or project management; ideally in digital media and entertainment.
• 1+ year of people management experience.
• Proficiency with the Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong diplomatic mentality and proven track record working well in a team environment and across a matrixed organization.
• Meticulous attention to detail and a dedication to accuracy.
• Ability to identify and complete opportunities to improve title planning and recommend solutions that drive impact to the business.
• Passion and insight into The Walt Disney Company segments, brands and franchises, the elements that define them, and expertise to build further audience engagement.
• Ability to lead multiple demands and competing priorities efficiently for self and others.
• Strong emotional intelligence and collaborative spirit.
• Ability to adapt quickly to new technology and constantly evolving organizations, and to thrive in a very fast-paced working environment.
Preferred Qualifications
• SVOD or Linear TV experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with live operations is a plus.

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $103,500 to $138,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
