Job Description
This is a fixed term contract position to cover leave of absence, ending in April 2025. Based in Hammersmith, 4 days per week in the office.

About the Role & Team

The Motion Pictures team is responsible for the sales, distribution and marketing of approximately 30 cinematic releases per year across the Marvel, Lucas, Disney, Pixar, Fox, Fox Searchlight, and BlueSky brands.

The Finance Manager handles the effective, timely and accurate delivery in the EMEA Centre of Excellence of Annual Operating Plan (AOP), Forecast, FYP and close across a group of markets along with either (a) looking after regional costs and consolidation or (b) looking after Motion Pictures dubbing costs. You will apply business knowledge and insights to data to assess implications on financials and has responsibility for an Analyst and an Intern

What You Will Do

Delivery:
• Analyse and interpret business information to identify high level trends and issues
• Support on projects beyond the finance function using professional expertise to support, advise and guide others as part of cross-functional project teams
• Review existing processes and actively challenge the status quo, providing proposals for process/systems improvement that will positively impact business effectiveness assisting the Director of Motion Pictures Finance in identify the best approaches across both Fox and Disney to ensure the processes are outstanding.
• Manage end-to-end processes within a full planning cycle (e.g. forecasting, AOP, reporting, close etc.) to ensure the effective financial management of the business area
• Manage, maintain and recommend improvements to financial systems, partnering with IT to ensure systems are fit for purpose
• Manage complex projects beyond the immediate scope of the role to deliver improved business processes or systems with a business area

Business Partnership:
• Develop and deliver financial presentations for key business partners both in regional as well as within markets as part of the centre of excellence to inform thinking about future business management
• Establish relationships with key business partners to provide guidance and influence their thinking around future business direction

Team Management:
• Empower and develop a team to deliver effective transactional, process and analytical support to the business area
• Share knowledge effectively across the function to facilitate good financial management and support the development of others

Required Qualifications & Skills
• ACCA/CIMA Qualified or equivalent qualification is essential.
• Experience of supporting commercial management to a high standard and working with the Regional Finance and Commercial head office.
• Must have led a team showing evidence of developing and supporting them.
• Demonstrable track record of providing commercial support to a business partner that's informative, timely and adaptable.
• Ability to produce clear and insightful presentations that deliver key messaging at the appropriate level of detail.
