Asset Management Coordinator

The Disney Music Group (DMG) is the music hub for TWDC, encompassing all aspects of music commercialization and marketing: recorded music (Walt Disney Records and Hollywood Records), Disney Music Publishing, and Disney Concerts. DMG distributes music both physically and digitally, and licenses music throughout the world in various forms of media including television, print, gaming, and consumer products.

Job Summary:

The Asset Management Coordinator will be responsible for the preparation, distribution and archiving of music and video content from across The Walt Disney Company.
This role will handle many different elements of physical and digital production and will be the resident frontline audio expert.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate audio and video assets for frontline releases working with DMG A&R, A&R Admin, DMG Marketing and distribution team members to help manage music and video commercial releases.
• Liaise with mastering houses, mixers, and external business partners, to coordinate, schedule, and trouble shoot asset deliveries.
• Work with distribution partners to ensure all new release assets are uploaded to distribution DAM and Disney DAM.
• Research and address any QC, mastering or track list issues quickly with delivering agency and distributor, keeping stakeholders updated on progress and resolutions.
• Research asset requests and delivery as requested by partners across the organization.
• Ingest volume of backlog elements into DAM.
• Provide project updates in weekly meetings to marketing and management.
• Manage high security pre-release assets.
• Contribute to additional projects as needed.

Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 1 year of experience related to music/video production
• General knowledge of asset database management
• Knowledge of audio and video codecs
• General Knowledge of Vinyl mastering & creation
• Ability to QC various audio and video formats (Digital files, Vinyl, CDs)
• Energetic, efficient, excellent time-management skills; this is a FAST-PACED environment
• Attention to detail; accuracy is critical
• Highly intelligent and adaptable; quick learner
• Strong work ethic
• Excellent interpersonal skills: very customer and service focused

Preferred Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in music industry, mastering, or asset management.
• Familiarity with audio and video editing software

Education:
• Bachelor degree preferred or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in location is $49,555 - $64,130 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
