Senior Systems Engineer

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Support our operations teams and end users with their technical day-to-day needs – troubleshooting, analyzing, and resolving hardware and software issues.
• This role oversees and manages the services running across both the virtual and physical infrastructure.
• Assist with onboarding new employees – ensuring accounts, equipment, and access they need are properly provisioned.
• Install, configure, and maintain both Linux (CentOS/Rocky) and Windows servers to run the services needed by the business.
• Support the design and deployment of any new solutions, services, or architecture.
• Work vendors to procure and install equipment and software.
• Unpack, rack, unrack, install, move, and configure server room and datacenter equipment as needed.
• Participate as part of a larger our larger support team to ensure operations and coverage between facilities and regions is maintained.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic network issues, and comfortably work as remote hands with our dedicated network teams for more complex issues as needed.
• Perform system backups and recovery.
• Special projects and other duties as assigned by manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• 4 years of college level course work in related field, or 2-4 years of experience in an onsite, deskside, or systems administration/engineer support role.
• Must have experience with virtualization platforms (eg: VMware or Proxmox)
• Firm understanding of how to support enterprise NAS/SAN infrastructures.
• Knowledge of LAN and WAN networking fundamentals.
• Ability to interact with internal and external customers to resolve issues.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
• Prior experience with AWS preferred but not mandatory.
• Prior experience in a post production environment is a major plus.
• Experience with Transkoder, Clipster, ProTools, or similar software major plus.
