Position Summary

The Senior Director of Business Development('SDBD') at Deluxe will lead the development of new business lines and strategic engagements with established and emerging clients in APAC.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Director of Business Development who will be responsible for developing executive-level relationships that lead to identifying, developing, scoping, and closing enterprise level strategic opportunities to expand lines of business for Deluxe.

The process is highly consultative and involves developing and managing long-term relationships and delivering compelling solutions that solve challenges or create new opportunities for customers.

The role requires experience analyzing market and product opportunities, developing business cases, developing workflows, and negotiating contracts while ensuring we provide clients exceptional service throughout the product/service lifecycle across all lines of business ('LOB') and territories in APAC. This role will lead the Business Development team, which includes leading managers in different countries, coaching and developing the team ad collaborating with them to curate the best strategy for every client at a local level in region whilst working as part of a global team to execute end-to-end workflows for our customers.

Main Duties

The SDBD shall lead and orchestrate all Deluxe parties around a clear, articulated account strategy by achieving superior client satisfaction and solidifying the SDBD's position as a trusted advisor. In addition to growing client market share, the SDBD's performance will ultimately be measured by:
• Level of overall client satisfaction.
• Depth and extent of client engagement.
• Onboarding of new opportunities that contribute to our market share, increasing value and growing our partnerships to unlock future opportunities.
• Knowledge and understanding of client's objectives and strategies.
• Build a thorough understanding of Deluxe's portfolio of services
• Continued growth in the overall share of the client's available business in the APAC market.

A Day in the Life of this position includes the following:
• Explore and develop APAC-wide business opportunities and strategies together with the Managing Director of APAC.
• Orchestrate and lead the execution of the business strategy in collaboration with colleagues from various functions (client services, operation, project coordination, legal, IT, etc.) and geographies throughout Deluxe.
• Serve as the executive liaison between Deluxe and the client and provide the client with a 'single point of contact' within Deluxe at a strategic & executive level.
• Ensure uniform and consistent messaging and communication between all client entities and all parties globally at Deluxe.
• Be involved in or be made aware of all client-facing functions, including executive sponsor engagement, HQ visits and communications, etc.
• Develop long-term Line-level and C-level relationships and ensure all levels of Deluxe, executive down, are appropriately engaged with the client.
• Drive market share growth across all LOBs throughout the client lifecycle.
• Identify and drive policy and process improvement within Deluxe to increase the ease of doing business with Deluxe.
• Identify and drive sales opportunities and help facilitate the opportunities moving from pipeline to delivery of the opportunities.
• Identify and drive innovation and partnership opportunities with the client and help facilitate the opportunities moving from pipeline to delivery.
• Lead and coordinate enterprise RFPs and major account agreements and support LOB RFPs.
• Work with functional teams and leaders to develop annual budgets and forecasts.

What You Bring
• BS/BA degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Existing Executive level relationships with established and emerging customers in the media industry.
• 7-10 years' experience in traditional and/or digital media, technology/software development, or professional services sales, consulting, project management, and business development.
• 5 years' experience as a people manager, leading and coaching junior to manager level individual contributors in various locations.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate contracts, close deals, and generate revenue.
• Excellent problem solving, business communication, and analytical skills, and experience working in cross-functional teams both within and across companies.
• Demonstrated strong leadership, communication (both verbal and written) with the ability to exchange information with others clearly and concisely.
• Ability to drive cross-functional coordination and alignment around new initiatives to create both value for Deluxe and our partners.
• Comfortable in interacting with a broad set of businesses and presenting both over the phone, web and in person.
• Ability to respond to frequent pressure to meet deadlines when work speed and sustained accuracy is paramount.
• Ability to maintain own workflow and meet deadlines.
• In-depth knowledge of offerings in relevant markets and understanding of the competitive landscape for OTT.
