Mastering QC Operator

Primary Responsibilities
• Work with all team members to insure that QC time is accurately estimated, communicated, executed and final deliveries are delivered on time per client specification
• Individual will perform quality assurance testing on video, audio, closed captioning, and subtitle files.
• Individual will perform spec compliance QC of the client supplied materials (audio, video, subtitles, metadata and graphics) for file production.
• Individual must efficiently utilize various audio and video production tools (software, decoders, tape decks, converters, pre-processing systems, etc.).
• Individual must utilize sound audible and visual judgment during the performance of daily duties.
• Use of internal Spec Compliance wiki pages to verify compliance to client specifications and Bill of Materials (PO).
• Completing evaluation form with full descriptions of content quality and version
• Individual must provide detail descriptions using internal QC database system.
• Ensure work assignments, their status and disposition are timely and accurately recorded in operations systems.
• Engage in on-going training programs as necessary.
• Must effectively analyze and communicate information in order to resolve issues and concerns as they arise.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, experience, and skill-set:
• 3-5 years quality control experience in the entertainment industry.
• Mastering QC Experience
• Individual must possess advanced understanding of audio, video, film.
• Individual must be able to troubleshoot quality control issues, software and player anomalies.
• Individual must be organized, diligent and detail-oriented.
• Individual must possess solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Duties require an accurate and methodical approach to testing as well as a very focused and detailed attention to audio, video impairments.
• Individual must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment with hard deadlines.
• Individual will need to make frequent ''subjective'' decisions as part of their daily function
• Individual must be willing to work nights and weekends, including holidays and passed their normal shift end if necessary.
