Job Description

We are seeking experienced and responsible freelance Script Readers (mainly to do script coverage on film/TV scripts) -- on an as-needed basis in the U.S. Starting rate is $40 per script coverage. Must be able to meet project deadlines. If you have experience doing a lot of TV script coverage or book coverage, let us know as well. If you've been doing unpaid internships as a script reader for a studio or agency, this is a good opportunity to transition to doing paid script coverage work. Be sure to indicate ''unpaid script coverage'' on your resume and include coverage samples (see our submission instructions). If your submission interests us, we will invite you to take our script coverage test online to compare the level of your skills to other candidates. Some of the qualities we look for in script readers are those who are professional, easy to work with, able to follow instructions well --  and able to draft constructive/useful script feedback and accurate synopses in their coverage. Also, be prepared to provide 2-3 industry references (legitimate business emails, not gmail). If selected, you would be doing coverage remotely as an independent contractor (freelancer) on an as-needed basis.

Application Instructions

1) Indicate approximately how many coverage you've done. 

2) Attach three (different genres) sample script coverage (2 Pass, 1 Consider or 1 Recommend). You may submit more than 3 sample coverage. if you'd like. 

3) If you have experience doing coverage for a Literary Agency - put ''Literary Agency Script Reader'' in the subject header of your email. If you have experience as a script reader for a Production Company - put ''Production Company Script Reader'' in the subject header of your email, etc. 

4) What genres have you done coverage on the most? 

5) Lastly, this is optional, if you have done story development notes, you may attach 1-2 sample story development notes.
