Position: Senior Systems Engineer
Location: Atlanta, GA
*Pay Range: $90,000 - $105,000 USD annually
As a Senior Systems Engineer at Company 3 you will be working as part of a team, implementing core creative service applications and tools to modernize the way our artists and clients work both in facility and remote. Implementation of in-studio and remote workflows that adhere to our security standards will be critical. You will be developing and disseminating best practices for supporting complex technical process to maintain and improve operational efficiency.
MAIN DUTIES:
The Senior Systems Engineer will provide onsite and remote support for Avid Editorial clients in the Atlanta and other Company3 locations. They will work with Engineering teams in NY and LA to optimize Avid system architectures, adhering to company standards and securities requirements, and work with Engineering teams in LA to optimize workflow integration between Flame systems and hybrid cloud infrastructure. Additional duties include:
• Work in a fast pace creative environment with the ability to work independently and quickly resolve issues.
• Work collaboratively to handle all operational and production technical needs.
• Help define, design, and implement next generation infrastructure.
• Work with engineering teams to support creative applications.
• Bring Work from Home hardware and software solutions to all of Company 3 and its clients.
• Ability to work around production schedules and to travel as required.
WHAT YOU BRING:
The ideal candidate will have proven working experience in the Computer Science / Engineering field. They will have prior working experience with Avid Media Composer, Avid NEXIS (ACSR preferred, not mandatory), and experience with Autodesk M&E software such as Flame, Flare & Maya. They must have a strong familiarity with RHEL based Linux distributions, be familiar with Windows client and server OS, and be familiar with networking concepts and implementation for remote and in-studio production workflows. Additional desired skills include:
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients and vendors
• Detail orientated with drive to accomplish assignments
• Post Production / Studio or IT experience
• Analytical problem solving
• Creative applications experience
• Familiarity with Storage performance and Archival concepts, Active Directory and VMware administration, cloud architecture or administration, Ansible, Linux scripting, and Python and JSON are considered a plus.
