Role Summary
The role of HR Generalist is an exciting opportunity to provide human resources support for clients within CNBC. Reporting into the VP, HR, the HR Generalist would provide full life-cycle HR support for the CNBC client group within NBC News Group. In addition, this role will be responsible for partnering with the wider CNBC HR team on managing cross-portfolio initiatives and special projects along with employee engagement activities.

Responsibilities
• Serve as an HR contact, and partner with HRBPs and functional leaders, on all matters regarding CNBC Business News, Digital, Prime and Marketing departments at CNBC throughout the employee life-cycle.
• Support and execute day-to-day HR responsibilities, including: staffing, on-boarding and off-boarding, performance management, reporting/analytics, etc.
• Partner closely with HR Team and functional leaders to manage strategic initiatives for CNBC, including employee engagement, retention, compensation/title analyses, employee relations matters, organizational structuring, career development & DEI programs in addition to other special projects.
• Provide HR counsel to clients and their teams on employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent enforcement of policies and practices.
• Mentor and provide guidance to employees related to their career goals, assist with career pathing and employee development.
• Advocate and offer guidance to employees concerning work-related issues and work to resolve issues in a proactive and positive manner.
• Interpret and implement HR policies, practices and procedures when questions arise (vacation, parental leave, compensatory days etc.).
• Act as liaison between clients and functional partners, such as payroll and benefits, to manage and resolve day to day employee issues.
• Act as a partner in the staffing process, working with hiring managers and talent acquisition team to identify objective recruitment strategies, as well as ensure diverse candidate slates and top-quality candidate selection.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree
• 3+ years of relevant HR experience including supporting an active and fast paced employee population
• 3+ years supporting a variety of HR functions, including, but not limited to, recruitment, performance management, compensation planning and organizational development
