JOB SUMMARY:
The Business Intelligence Team is seeking a highly motivated college student to join the team as our next '2025 Summer Temporary Assistant, Advanced Analytics' to assist with collecting, analyzing, and presenting business data insights. This summer internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in applying statistical methods and predictive analytics to inform key strategic initiatives across various business functions.
** This is a temporary position from June – August 2025, that will require roughly 40 hours per week.
** Local candidates preferred. Relocation assistance is not offered for temporary positions.
PAY RATE: $15.00/HR.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand analytic needs.
• Extract, join, and preprocess data from multiple sources.
• Develop and execute statistical tests and basic predictive models.
• Assist in the execution and interpretation of machine learning models.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing analytic support.
• Provide decision support through ad-hoc analysis and scenario modeling.
• Stay updated on the latest trends in machine learning and artificial intelligence.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Currently attending (or recent graduate of) a 4-year Bachelor's Degree program, preferably with an emphasis in Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, etc.
• Strong academic background in data analysis and statistics.
• Basic knowledge of modeling techniques and evaluation metrics.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (SQL, R, and/or Python).
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau).
