JOB SUMMARY:

The 'Coordinator, Community Relations & Communications' for the Rock Entertainment Group's Franchise Properties (Cleveland Monsters and Cleveland Charge G League) will operate with dual responsibilities in the disciplines of both Community Relations and Communications for the Cleveland Monsters and Cleveland Charge.

This role will report to the 'Senior Director, Communications & Community Impact' while also providing support to the 'Senior Manager, Community Impact,' and will work closely with various members of the Monsters & Charge business operations team on an on-going basis. A focus area for this position will be supporting and developing strategies for impactful community and public relations that are dedicated to the Cleveland Monsters and Cleveland Charge in Northeast Ohio.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop plan and establish the ''Community Corner'' at Monsters and Charge games to align with the team's promotional theme nights.
• Assist in managing both team's DASH platforms and auctions/fundraiser running on them benefitting the Monsters Community Foundation and Charge Community Foundation.
• Manage and respond to all charitable requests, and execute the distribution of gifts on behalf of Monster and Charge including the team's Community Ticket Grant programs.
• Help identify Diversity and Inclusion partnership opportunities for the Monsters and Charge.
• Coordinate with basketball operations to identify community opportunities that match the interest of players and coaches.
• Assist with player appearances in the community.
• Assist in the planning and execution of Community Relations events and outreach, including gameday programming (education programs, meet and greets, VIP game-day experiences, pregame ceremonies, and in-game activations).
• Support department with special events and other fundraising, including Foundation TIP-A-MONSTER, 50/50 raffle preparation and execution and game day auctions etc.
• Develop season-long strategies and creative ideas for media gifting and appearances with the goal of gaining Monsters and Charge coverage,
• garnering earned media and coming up with creative ideas to gain attention.
• Ongoing coordination and communication with the VP of Communications and Teams Services to secure player involvement with media outlets and exposure opportunities.
• Provide metrics of NE Ohio media coverage and opportunities for growth.
• Lead gifting and entertaining for press and media.
• Lead media tracking, clips, summaries, etc.
• Assist on organizational press releases and media outreach.
• Assist in planning and execution of media days/events.
• Assist in credentialing processes.
• Working to ensure media members have needed information on game nights.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
• 1+ year(s) of public relations / community relations experience, preferably in sports or entertainment industry.
• Must have flexible availability to work games and events on nights, weekends, and occasional Holidays as required by the Rocket Entertainment Group's events calendar.
• Must be able to showcase proficiency in Photoshop and Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Powerpoint and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to build trusted relationships and influence across all levels both internally and externally.
• An independent, self-starter who routinely brings actionable ideas to the table with a track record of creativity, solutions, and ability to meet set goals.
• Can prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
• Team player; highly organized, can prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
