Job Title: Royalty Analyst - Manager
Job Summary/Objective
The Royalty Analyst Manager will oversee a team of Royalty Analysts and be the main point of contact between the US and India Royalty teams. This role will, oversee the creation of licensors statements and payments to ensure they are timely and accurate. This position will be responsible for assigning tasks to various members of the team and providing needed hands-on assistance during monthly close process.,
Essential Functions
• Support the Royalties management team in the US with assigning tasks to the team in India, ensuring all data and reports to meet operational goals and are completed in a timely manner and accurate. Communicate urgent payment matters to the US team as they arise.
• Assist, guide, and mentor staff members in complex royalty calculations and offer assistance to the team with the reconciliations of complicated matters to ensure that all licensor inquiries are resolved.
• Support audit requests and month end close processes, to ensure information provided is accurate.
• Ensure team members complete delegated tasks in a timely fashion in order to meet the established corporate accounting deadlines.
• Review contract terms to ensure that royalties are calculated according to the agreement.
• Review payment request forms and ensure all information is accurate.
• Review all requests from AP for licensor set up information (ACH/Wire info, W-9/W-8BEN-E, etc.)
Essential Qualifications/Competencies
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal communication skills in English.
• US based experience will be preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Experience managing teams preferred.
• Ability to problem solve, communicate and work well with others, both within and outside of the department.
• Advanced Knowledge of MS Excel (pivot tables, VLookups and various formulas).
• Highly organized and able to prioritize.
• Ability to work under pressure & deadline oriented.
• 5-7 years experience preferred.
• Work hours – Should be flexible to work in US hours as needed.
