Job Description
NOTE: Cineverse is currently a 100% work-from-home company. While we may return to an office environment in the future, we do not have plans to return to an office setting at this time. When we return to an office environment, the incumbent may be required to work from the office on a part or full-time basis, as needed. The Manager, Acquisitions is responsible for sourcing, reviewing and negotiating content acquisitions for all of Cineverse's distribution channels, including theatrical, physical media, digital, TV and Cineverse's streaming channels from deal negotiation with the content providers, term sheet creation, to cross department collaboration for title launches on Cineverse platforms.

Essential Functions
• Source content from producers, labels, production companies and sales reps
• Screen and provide coverage for content from both a creative and business perspective
• Maintain documentation and data management which includes, supporting the Acquisitions team's internal deal-tracking, department budgets, avails-sharing documents for incoming content, generating status and management reports such as deal updates, quarterly counts of titles on channels etc.
• Based on performance analysis, make recommendations to senior management regarding content suitable for acquisition
• Review and run P&L's to support acquisitions and support the operating green light process.
• Draft proposals and negotiate material business terms with producers, labels, production companies, and sales reps.
• Summarize completed deals and communicate business terms to all relevant department heads.
• Track and request scheduled payments to Licensors
• Research major film festivals and markets, including Toronto, Sundance, Tribeca, MIPCOM and SXSW, and create screening schedules for senior management
• Provide deal support to acquisition colleagues
• Complete and provide support for senior management including presentations, and special projects as needed.

Essential Qualifications/Competencies
• 3-5 years work experience in entertainment – agency, production company, film sales or distribution experience preferred
• Bachelor's Degree, some education in film, Master's degree preferred
• Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Works well with others across all departments
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and think outside the box
• Strong analytical skills
• Must be able to multi-task
