Overview and Responsibilities:

CBS Sacramento offers an exciting opportunity for a creative News Producer to join its dynamic team! This role can include the following responsibilities:
• Find stories and craft a newscast
• Write stories and teases
• Order and build graphics, edit, and booth the live show
• Give direction to studio and field talent and production crews

Basic qualifications:
• At least 3 years of experience in a daily broadcast news operation.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks including line producing, segment producing, writing, story booking and coordination and use of social media.

Additional qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field preferred.
• Familiarity with Northern California is a big plus.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $64,400.00 - 81,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
