IT Engineer

Job Description

The candidate for IT Technician will be self-motivated, hands-on and customer service oriented. Perform troubleshooting, repair and installation of desktop and server equipment. Support desktop users across all departments. Perform day-to-day maintenance of computer equipment. Provide support for the video production and On-Air video/graphics computer systems. This individual ensures system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to KCNC-TV values.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Serve as first point of contact for desktop computer hardware, software, printers and Active Directory users and groups
• Work with users to resolve issues as they arise
• Administration of network resources across all departments
• Monitor health of critical computer systems
• Maintain software patches and desktop/server Antivirus software
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of computer systems
• Work with vendors to resolve issues
• Provide users with basic software training
• Other duties assigned by Manager

REQUIRED
• Proven organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong customer service skills. Strong written and verbal skills.
• Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects at once.
• Strong desire to learn and grow.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to think analytically and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware.
• Proven experience with Windows Client OS and Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma.
• Able to lift and carry at least 30-50 lbs.
• Valid Colorado Driver's License

PREFERRED
• Microsoft Server and Client certification is a plus
• Experience with LAN administration
• Experience with Active Directory
• Knowledge of Cisco switches
• Experience with Video Editing Systems

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $60,000.00 - 65,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
