Job Description
OverviewAudacy is looking for a Senior Developer with extensive hands-on experience with kafka platform. An ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and comfortability with kafka client apis, kafka internals and kafka architecture and tools. The team is looking to expand and enhance our abilities with event and streaming applications and services across the back end.
We are looking for someone who can lead technical discussions and clearly communicate solutions to stakeholders, technical and non-technical alike. We believe in self-empowered teams that can take a product from concept to delivery.
Responsibilities
What You'll Do:
• Build and design data stream applications using kafka core concepts and connectors
• Understand scaling and tuning of read and write applications
• Work to improve performance and reduce costs of Data Transformation and enrichment systems
• Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate technical abilities, risks and opportunities around data streaming applications.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate Kafka with other data processing systems
• Developing and maintaining documentation for Kafka configurations and best practices
• Ability to take product requirements and work with architecture to develop cost effective solutions.
• Comfortable with leading other engineers to develop a solution and breaking up work across multiple engineers
Qualifications
More About You:
Required & Preferred:
• 5+ years of experience in backend software development (Python/Node/Java)
• 5+ years of experience working with the kafka architecture
• 5+ years of experience working with relational databases
• 1+ years of Nosql database experience
• 3+ years of working with a containerized deployment system
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Confluent kafka ecosystem
• Understanding and experience with Flink stream processing
• Experience with OpenSearch
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
Additional Information
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated starting salary range for Colorado-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $135k-$155K.
Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.
