Operations Coordinator, Studio - CBS Sports (Freelance)

The freelance Operations Coordinator manages the day-to-day studio production of the CBSSN radio simulcast 'Boomer & Gio'. This position is in person, and will oversee the live broadcast and technical crew, and work with Engineering and support staff to ensure a quality product.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to, hiring necessary freelance crew, processing crew payroll, creation and tracking of monthly show budgets, and processing invoices. The Operations Coordinator will also work with Production Managers to support the department as needed, such as booking travel for production and talent to remote events.
Opportunity to travel to remote events is a possibility.

This position is freelance and will cover our fall and spring seasons. The position will start in August 2024 and conclude at the end of May 2025. Schedule revolves around early morning hours. Some weekends or holidays are to be expected.

Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day studio logistical and operational requirements as determined by specific shows needs. Maintain daily quality control of studio product (current show is 'Boomer & Gio' Radio Show simulcast).
• Coordinate crew schedules to ensure all show operational requirements are fulfilled.
• Facilitate specific show production requirements in a cost effective manner, including:
• Schedule coordination with production
• Daily studio schedule and contact sheet publication
• Crew catering and crew calls
• Participate in the development of show estimates and budgets. Monitor and report final costs.
• Manage and process weekly freelance payroll.
• Invoice processing and expense tracking.
• Manage travel and logistics for personnel as needed.
• Trouble-shoot and correct event situations as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year operations experience in a television environment preferred.
• Ability to work well with others and thrive in a group working environment.
• Must have excellent organizational skills, multi-tasking skills and a keen attention to detail.
• Willing to work non-traditional business days and hours
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $20.4 - 25.0.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
