The Department
CAA Brand Consulting is the entertainment & sports marketing agency within CAA. Our mission is to drive cultural brand relevance for our clients by tapping into CAA's connectivity to pop culture. Leveraging our deep relationships and influence with studios, networks, labels, leagues, teams, venues, events, media, and content platforms, we provide a range of strategic and marketing consulting services to corporate clients around their entertainment & sports strategies.
The Role
The Sr. Account Manager will play a key role in supporting event-focused business for one of our largest Brand Consulting clients, a financial services company. The Sr. Account Manager will manage an internal team, while developing and executing the strategy and plans for a series of entertainment, sports, culinary and travel hospitality events. This candidate will lead the day to day client relationship, and will work cross-functionally with internal/external properties, vendors, clients, and agencies.
Responsibilities
• Works with team members to deliver breakthrough ideas that deliver against client objectives
• Manages a team of 3-5 colleagues, providing guidance, feedback, direction and motivation to keep the team working efficiently and happily
• Deliver best-in-class, business-driving experiential opportunities, ideas, and activation for brand clients
• Ensures the most forward-thinking, innovative ideas and activations
• Contributes by helping keep our finger on the pulse of the latest developments in pop culture, with a knowledge of music and culinary trends a plus
• Evaluate potential event sponsorship opportunities and prepare a POV to share with clients
• Develops and maintains relationships with world-class vendors, partner agencies, and external contacts
• Lead event initiatives independently from start to finish (briefing to execution)
• Communicates effectively with colleagues and clients across multiple office locations
• Lead development of concepts & facilitate creative approval process (i.e. renderings, signage, POS, etc.)
• Develop & manage timelines, run of show, budgets & reconciliation
• On-site event logistics management & execution
• Establish effective relationships across agency multi-disciplinary teams
• Ensure all agency protocols are being followed including vendor agreements, accounting processes, recaps, etc.
• Demonstrate highest level of critical thinking with focus on proactiveness and attention to detail
• Coordinate directly with brand clients/properties on necessary approvals, weekly calls and project plans
• Create presentations for key meetings internally and externally
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience in event, hospitality, or experiential marketing
• Experience successfully managing and mentoring a team
• Agency experience highly preferred
• Best-in-class client servicing and relationship building
• Project management and big picture thinking abilities while also being creative
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to ''think on one's feet'' in a fast-paced, agency environment
• Ability to balance and progress multiple project components at one time, on tight timelines
• Travel required
• NY based preferred, LA based considered
