Job Description
Serves as the main liaison/project manager between the Partnership & Events (P&E), Creative, and Corporate Communications & Marketing departments. Ensures information and materials are coordinated between the teams for all events. Serves as the main P&E social media ambassador working with Corporate Communications to provide additional on-site social media support at BMI events. Provides support to P&E team, including working with sponsors, events, venues and other functions as needed.
LOCATION
New York, NY office. BMI has transitioned back to working in the office on a regular hybrid schedule. At present, most team members are expected in the office three (3) days a week. Decisions regarding future transitions will take place in phases as BMI continues to closely monitor COVID-19 as employee safety is our priority.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
• Serves as the project manager between P&E, Creative, Corporate Communications and Marketing, ensuring information is coordinated between all teams including event logistics, sponsorship information, assets, logos, and other materials as needed.
• Works with Corporate Communications to ensure event materials (i.e., banners, step & repeats, collateral, etc.) are delivered to venues and on-site as appropriate.
• Provides additional social media support for P&E events as a BMI social media ambassador under the direction of BMI's Social Media Director.
• Supports the P&E team as needed including coordinating information with sponsors, venues and handling event logistics, etc.
• Prepares and provides periodic updates for the Director, Promotional Events and management, including a summary of potential and planned sponsorship and partnerships events, and a recap of completed events.
• Manages the implementation and activation of partnership arrangements at BMI events, including ensuring adequate staffing for each event.
• Collaborates under the direction of Corporate Communications & Marketing to develop social, print, promotional, and communications for our partners' and sponsors' involvement with initiatives and events.
• Coordinates with Accounting, Corporate Communications & Marketing, Facilities, HR, IT, Legal and others as needed to ensure successful, effective event execution.
• Effectively manages event details including facilities, logistics and relationships (i.e., space allocation, setups, audiovisual, food and beverage, etc.).
• Travels for site inspections and preplanning meetings as needed for event locations; prepares RFPs for event services, oversees negotiations, and participates in the decision-making and recommendation process.
• Monitors timelines for events, including sponsorship deliverables, payment schedules, communication deadlines, etc.; escalates issues as needed.
• Supports our BMI Core Values and cultivates a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Regular in-office attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree and minimum three years' related experience (or equivalent.) Completion of a college/university internship or apprenticeship and a working knowledge of the music industry, publishing business, social media, and project management preferred. Advanced education degree preferred.

SALARY RANGE
$60,000.00 - $68,000.00 (USD). The specific base salary offered to a successful applicant will be based on individual qualifications, skills, experience, and education. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. The position may also be eligible for one or more performance-based bonuses.
