Manager, Distribution (Hybrid)
Delivers complete and accurate performance inputs to BMI's quarterly distribution by managing cue sheet and performance identification processes.
LOCATION
Nashville, TN office. BMI has transitioned back to working in the office on a regular hybrid schedule. At present, most team members are expected in the office three (3) days a week. Decisions regarding future transitions will take place in phases as BMI continues to closely monitor COVID-19 as employee safety is our priority
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Essential Functions: which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
• Establishes and monitors team productivity and quality goals.
• Manages activities to ensure goals and objectives are met.
• Monitors and maintains metrics with respect to work load volumes, productivity and quality and report to department Leader on a regular basis.
• Manages the use of third party data to ensure timely receipt of information (i.e. usage files, cue sheets, etc.) and work with MDI and/or data partners to procure information when necessary.
• Manages the quality of third party data to ensure appropriateness for distribution processing.
• Collaborates with the Team Lead, Managers, Quality Assurance and others as necessary, to define and implement quality assurance measures to ensure that inputs into distribution are complete and accurate.
• Ensures that team priorities align with distribution directives.
• Serves as the knowledge leader as it relates to music usage/performance information for assigned distribution sources.
• Actively participates in training and provides ongoing coaching to team leads and/or team members.
• Ensures that the team is equipped with necessary resources to perform their jobs and that departmental goals are being met.
• Continually evaluates current business processes and systems.
• Participates on project teams with the design, development, testing and implementation of new systems/software.
• Establishes new policies and procedures to improve quality and processing efficiencies.
• Prepares team members' performance reviews for merit increases.
• Recognizes and, when appropriate, rewards exceptional job performance
• Organizes and manages departmental meetings/stand-ups.
• Participates and contributes to special projects on an as needed basis.
• Handles relevant day to day operations inquiries.
• Regular attendance.
• Maintains knowledge of current industry trends relevant to BMI's business.

Specific to Distribution and Administration Services AV Team
• Manages ID rates and cue sheet compliance while reporting results to the designated DQM (Distribution Quality Manager).
• Initiates the procurement of late and/or missing cue sheets, usage reports and other music performance information required for processing.
• Manages the investigation and resolution of cue sheet and performance identification issues.
• Assist with the onboarding of new sources.
Specific to Distribution and Administration Services Audio Team

RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises departmental team members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, directing and ensuring reliability of work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining team members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.~u003cbr />
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree with music business or general concentration preferred.
Experience: Minimum four (4) years external experience in operational/processing field, music business or at least three (3) years in BMI related field.

SALARY RANGE
The specific base salary offered to a successful applicant will be based on individual qualifications, skills, experience, and education. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. The position may also be eligible for one or more performance-based bonuses.
