Barnstorm VFX is seeking a Receptionist for our Burbank studio! The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, friendly and passionate about a future in the VFX industry.

Who You Are

We are looking for a Receptionist for our Burbank, California studio! You are personable and friendly and love meeting new people. As the first point of contact for our employees and guests you are customer service minded and can proactively anticipate what people need and you deliver. Your goal is to make them feel welcomed and comfortable during their time at Barnstorm!

What You'll Do
• Open and prep the office daily.
• Answer phones and direct calls to the correct parties.
• Greet visitors/clients at the front door and help them sign in via Envoy.
• Receive and distribute any incoming mail and packages assist with shipping if required.
• Assist with set up for staff and client meetings.
• Assist with purchasing supplies and food/groceries for the studio.
• Do studio rounds to ensure space is clean, inviting, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Help maintain a clean and organized kitchen space including resupplying snacks and putting away clean dishes.
• Filing and handling receipts and keeping track of expense reports.
• Assist Event Coordinator with food and coordinating activities for studio events and holiday parties.
• Occasional pick up or drop off of items requested by executives.

What You Bring
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent phone skills and etiquette.
• Highly organized and able to multitask and prioritize tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Extremely personable.
• Presence and demeanor should inspire confidence in others.
• Interest in/knowledge of entertainment industry/post production a plus.

About This Role
• Full-time, Permanent Contract.
• Vacation plus 5 paid sick/personal days.

• In Studio position 5 days per week, possible OT and/or weekend work from time to time.
• Driver's license and reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided).
• Some light weight physical lifting may be required during execution of duties.

Pay Range:

The posted pay range is aligned with what we believe is fair pay at the time of posting this role. An applicant's relevant education, experience, skills and qualifications, location and currency may all be considered when deciding pay position within the range. Pay ranges may change.

Benefit plans are dependent on the local plan offering and employment status but all US and Canada plans include a comprehensive health insurance plan, retirement savings, and paid time off.
